I was hoping they would enventually just die off 1by1 and not replace any members so the real slaves could break free of their masters, and I thought it was going to happen when the 2 died and they didn't replace them, but lo and behold they got a young and fresh one.

What Would JWs Do if all the GB died at once?
by bafh inin another thread on the board, someone talked about their friend being a sniper in the marines and being very angry at the gb with thoughts of revenge.
it made me wonder - what would happen to the jws if in some strange turn of events, all the gb died at the same time?
how would they carry on if their leadership was snuffed out?

by His Excellency inhas anyone noticed the recent deterioration in the quality of wt's contents lately?..
the spiritual food seems to be getting more and more shitty these days.
i have given a thought to what could really be going wrong, and if it is likely that some on the wiriting committee is consciously dishing out those nonsense to facilitate more poeple seeing ttat.

If you get a chance to talk to her again or any other JW don't even mention whether or not you are trying to offend or expose their beliefs. That triggers them to put on the defense mode. Simply bring up the topic i.e. 'I heard ...X' and let them do the reasoning for themselves thats what JW have been trained to do to some extent. But make sure you approach it as casually as bringing up the news don't use sarcasm (not to say that you do). She probably quickly dismissed the tribute to make her defense against you.

the first talk was entitled "feed your mind at jehovah's table".
the first portion of this talk specifically targeted apostates warning members to not listen to them "even if they were once strong in the truth or had great responsiblity in the congregation".

I thought everyone would get a lil' laugh out of this or at least see that their hard work to reveal TTATT is becoming more and more acknowledged and way past the point of being an idle threat. I always thought I would be the last one to think there was something wrong with the org (born-in). @Black Sheep...I have also convinced my friend but we keep it to ourselves. @Scott77... The newbies were probably saying to themselves 'O I thought this religion was about the truth but apparently only fractions of truth that explains their view on blood! ok i guess I get it'. I don't ever recall a talk like this, specifically catered to apostates, especially not one at an assembly, so I saw it as a real 'sign of the times'. I will go to another one and will try to record it, but someone may already get a tape by that time.

@breakfast of champions I am only assuming it was the DO's personal remarks. I just doubt the GB would give themselves that short of time limit. Unless it was temporarily put in writing to encourage more donations from fanatics who would give up their belongings thinking they wouldn't need it in 2 yrs.

I recently attended the second day of the 2 day assembly for safeguarding your mind. The first talk was entitled "Feed Your Mind at Jehovah's Table". The first portion of this talk specifically targeted apostates warning members to not listen to them "even if they were once strong in the truth or had great responsiblity in the congregation". Points were made about obedience to the org comparing it to Jehovah's table. The brother later stated that "apostates often bring out points that may be true, but are taken way out of context". There were more details in this talk, but I could only jot down few key points. In the end, he emphasized the theme reiterating "safeguard your mind against these corrupt influences". The society is definitely noticing the new age prevalence of apostates making valid points against their doctrines.
In the talk "Keep Jehovah's Day Close in Mind" the D.O discussed not listening to ridiculers and made the personal remark that "we are near the 100 year mark, we are getting close to the wire." I feel sorry for brothers like the D.O. who sacrficed their personal lives thinking they probably wouldn't have to do it for long cause the end would certainly come near the 100 year mark '2014'.
Has anyone else attended this assembly and recall the rediculous points that were discussed?

after all they have taken on thr reins of power over a corporation that has very bad,, dead end business stradagy based on a dellusional idea that the end of the world would come based on dates found or imagined in the bible,, a book about ancient deity worship with all its superstition about what make him angry and mad.. they have bought into this dellusion with their heart and soul,,they stand to loss big time now that the internet is here,, the internet is their satan and his demons on the net are taking aim..
