Hi! I'm brand spankin new

i've been out of the "truth" (haha) for about 12 years and had no idea there were such places like this.
i'm sure that this could have helped me through my 5 year post df depression.

Prejudice
by Elders_Kid init would seem to me that an organization that preaches so strongly about brotherly love could be so prejudice.. i have been d/f for just about seven years, and it wasn't until a couple of years ago that this occured to me.
remember how we couldn't spend time with people from school because they were "bad association"?
or you werent supposed to spend too much time with "worldly" relatives because they might be a bad influence?.

It is ridiculous the way they get even family members to shun one another. Truly the organization is not worth the space they take up. Nobody should be allowed to adversely effect so many peoples lives.

My daughter and birthday cakes!
by Beck_Melbourne inmy 11 yr old has this passion for blowing out the candles on other people's birthday cakes.
having been deprived of the fun for 10 yrs...she now likes to get up close to the birthday child (or adult) and she likes to blow with all her might...i smile at her innocence.. when she turned 11 she had her first birthday..the cake..candles.. friends..presents..all the trimmings.
once a year isn't enough for her however...and she is now making up for lost time.. two nights ago we went to our friend's birthday party for their 5 yr old.

That's totally cute. I was fortunate to have gotten out a year before my oldest (now 12) was born. I can honestly say though I never had a birthday cake until I was 29 years old when my current wife got me one..LOL Course it would have been a cool thing as a kid, but I am happy my kids don't have to go through that strangeness as I did.

but seriously,i was such a terrible husband that my first wife ran away and joined a catholic order to get away from me.. when i tracked her down it was to a monastery in france.. shes a full fledged catholic nun now, and wears a penguin suit.. can anyone top that one?

Were you ever a JW? If not, then go the hell away!Well jackass guess what?? I was a JW a lot longer then I'd like to admit.. close to 19 years worth of being a JW in fact. If anyone needs to go the hell away it's your sorry ass, and I think maybe you need to go to Iraq and let Saddam use you as his bitch so maybe you'll understand why the defense of this country is a touchy subject.

The same people that allow you to be free are the ones out there finding that sorry sonofabitch right now. If it wasn't for those same people that same Bin Laden guy would have your ass wearing a long beard and forcing you to pray to Allah every night of your damn life.

Being a Gulf War vet and a 10 year former Active Duty type of guy, I have to say that anyone who would not fight for the country which makes them free and refuses even an easy and safe bullshit alternate service needs to go lease themselves a house in a 3rd world country someplace and live where they don't even have the freedom to take a piss without asking the government for permission. Then come back and tell me you won't put on that uniform.
This country is free for a reason and the only thing the WT ever did was get people sent to prison when they should have been out there defending their country.

I was busted for smoking once as well when someone supposedly seen me do it, I told them (since I'd been in for this before) that it just couldn't have been me as I haven't touched that stuff since the last time I talked to you guys. Well they dropped it and I went to the parking lot, got in my car and lit a cigarette and drove home..LOL Some holy spirit directed inquisition that was!
