Let's see, Joanne..that's about the "5th" time, I would say, that "Sue" has been reminded of the 99 KM since he/she started to post. I repeat what Skimmer had to say:
PLEASE DON'T FEED THE TROLL!

a critique of suzi mayhem's theory of god .
i thought, when suzi first posted this, that it was a joke something like john cleese's classic "brontosaurus theory" skit in a monty python episode.
but mr. "dark clouds" has sort of asked me to critique it as if it were a serious theory, so here goes.. i'll address this to suzi, but suzi dear, don't take this too seriously.
I have to jump in and say, Six, Suzi's right on this one. You DON'T know what you're talking about. Maybe it would be a wise decision to stop while you're behind. Btw, there's no such word as "stupider". Better go look it up in your english manual.

Oh Aaron, puh-leeze... do you honestly think they're going to listen to a rabid fundie? Get real!
Jurs, a very good example would be the orders they gave back in the awake of '69 NOT to get an education, that it would be a waste of time. Tell them you don't plan on pushing a broom and washing windows for a living when you're 42 and the new system is still "just around the corner". Yeah, right. Frankly, I would just say to them that I don't want to be a part of an organization that preaches love and teaches hate instead.
Good luck!

over the last ten years or so i`ve seen and heard things which when.
looked at objectively can only be termed `craziness`.however, in some.
cases these episodes of craziness might be viewed as wonderful testimonies to a strong commitment to jahovah.
A young lady who was receiving opposition for attending meetings at
the local KH learned to devise ways to get to the meetings. She would
say,`I`m going shopping` and then head off for the KH before her
husband noticed. On one occasion she went into the bathroom and crawled
out the window and scurried off to the Kingdom Hall. After her husband
realized that she had gone, he followed her to the Hall and after
convincing the bros. to let him in asked where his wife was.Everyone
pretended that they didn`t know. The husband went to the bathroom
where his wife was hiding in one of the stalls. Two sisters were standing guard on either side of the stall. They lied and told the husband that she wasn`t there. Perhaps they were thinking of Rahab?
Now, I'll be the last person to tell you to become a JW, but in this particular instance, I believe it was the husband who was crazy. He was controlling and no doubt about it. Even if he didn't like his wife going to the KH, he didn't have the right to do what he did. As far as I know, the USA is still a free country and being married doesn't change that freedom.
One day after work he came home to find his wife making a bonfire in
their front lawn. She had pulled out all the books and critical
literature which he had collected and piled it in front of the
house in his absence and started a fire.
In this instance, the WIFE was showing definite controlling tactics. She was in the wrong, definitely. Just who was the adult, here? I would no more dream of burning something I didn't want my husband to read than I could flap my arms and fly to the moon. It's all a matter of basic respect for the other person's rights. The same goes for Episode three. These women exhibited very controlling behavior. Would they like for their husbands to rip THEIR literature to bits and pieces?
The last two are just ignorance in action. Okay, there's my .02.

if we take a critical view on the last weeks events on this board, there is maybe a thing or two to consider.
the board has seen a kind of war, and sarcasms and caustic remarks have been more the rule than the exception in some threads.
usually these ends up adding something positive to the community or the forum where the war raged, and its much like a thunderstorm.
Gee, thanks for the compliment, Tina!

with the news that the killers of jamie bulger have been released, it would be interesting to know how people feel.. from the mcveigh thread it seems that many americans believe the death penalty would have been appropriate.. i do not know whether many in the us know of the case in britain of a 2 year old being tortured and murdered by two 10 year olds.
but now 8 years later they have been released.. i know of the arguments that they have been rehabilitated since killing jamie bulger.....but is this really justice?
Now it's MY turn to clarify, lol. I don't feel I have chosen the path of Barbarism.
However, I do believe, other than this issue where we majorly differ in thought, we do seem to get along in all other aspects.

Granted, Seeker. I was writing my post as you were writing your follow-up, and didn't see it before I hit "reply". I feel the same.

I hope your barbaric world where sadistic murders are rewarded never comes to pass.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It will. History is on my side.
So, you're proposing a world where "sadistic murders are rewarded?" Because that is exactly what you inferred when you said "It will. History is on MY side."
And you call OUR thinking twisted?

No TeeJay, I made a direct hit on what you tried to do, I'm certain of it. Instigating was what YOU were trying to do.. and it made you angry that I caught it and commented on it.
