Well Lotus, it's your thang, do what you wanna do. Just remember any free advice you receive here is worth exactly what you paid for it, NOTHING. Sure, a therapist is a stranger too but s/he is trained to help you work through your marital problems. Therapy isn't too expensive and your health insurance should cover office visits.
You mentioned you are feeling bipolar because now you are all lovey dovey towards your husband when last night you were pissing and moaning about how horrible he was and how you wondered if you truly love him. I think you made a good self diagnosis because your moods seem to swing or cycle quickly. It wouldn't hurt to maybe talk to a psychologist about possible bi-polar disorder and, of course, your anger issues.
Best of luck to you.
BTW, I was first attracted to my husband because of his brilliant mind and the fact he was a radical. I lucked out because he is very nice looking (with a neatly trimmed beard). Oh, and he is as sweet as pumpkin pie. So, I don't agree with your statement that all of us are first attracted by looks.

Hi Blooming, welcome to the board.
Throughout my life I've noticed that young women tend to be rather hard on their husbands and often expect them to look, think and act like the men they see on tv or read about in women's magazines like Glamour and Cosmo. Those sort of men are a fantasy. An unkind and unrealistic fantasy. Please rethink what you are expecting of your husband and try to cut him some slack. I believe you are trying to be fair to your husband when you say that you understand why his feelings would be hurt over you telling him he looked like a bum. After all, you would be insulted too if he told you that he did not find you attractive. Heck, it might even affect you to the point that you do not want to have sexual intercourse with him.
Why are you pushing your husband's buttons if you know he has PTSD? Don't get me wrong, abuse is never the answer and should not be tolerated. But I have to ask you if you are you mistreating your husband through emotional abuse? Many times emotional abuse can be experienced by somebody being badgered into doing something they may not want to do. Now, I am not saying you are emotionally abusing your husband but I do wonder about it. Especially since you are on this board bad mouthing your husband to a forum of total strangers.
I suggest you take this matter off our public discussion forum and see a marriage counselor. If he won't go with you go alone because marriage is more than looking good and walking off into the sunset together with buns of steel.
I wish you luck.

What world events would cause you to run back to the JW,s
by jam ina year or two after leaving the borg.
i was on shaky ground.. any major catastrophe in the world that took place, i thought.
today i can not think of one single event.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing would cause me to go back. Even if God turned out to be a JW in The World to Come, I wouldn't apologize to him for leaving.

So me, of all people, had a religious experience
by sabastious ini was sitting in my garage, as i often do, to chill out and i actually ended up becoming angry.. so here i am, in my garage, kicking it on the stool for the drum set that is in there (i am a pianist/composer, not a drummer).
i start to think about all the crazy stuff that transpires on this planet.
we have all seen shows and heard stories or maybe even witnessed events that don't add up.

Sab:
Massive INFP here.
I adore the INFPs that I have met throughout my life. Not that I've met that many considiering the rarity of the type. I can see the INFP characteristics of seeking truth and meaning all through this thread. I look forward to getting to know you better.
Nick:
Would't mind at all, but my JW wife thinks it's evil, so I'd better not.
That's quite alright and I understand completely. Truth be told, I rarely toke anymore but not because I think it is evil. It IS expensive and hard to get at my age. Besides, I prefer to look at life through unclouded eyes. And I do not have worry about getting a bad case of the munchies and eating everything in the frige. The toke comment was a symbolic peace offering. Feel free to accept it or not.

It's a sweet story but I have to agree with almost everything Mad Sweeney said.

Why, Nick. I never knew you suffered so much. I guess the Big Jay isn't the only martyr.
Look, dude, I have nothing against you personally and do not even care to know you. I was only giving you a taste of your own distasteful medicine. And if you don't want assumptions made of you, why don't you do us a favor and stop making them in the first place?
Edited to add:
In terms of vitriol, however, I take off my hat to you.
Coming from such a pro as yourself, thanks!
