Introspection, I am so glad that you have posted about this subject. In the past, I was always worried about my purpose in life, who I am and am I doing the right thing. Then one night it hit me. My purpose in life is to enjoy my life. Isn't this what the creator would like us to do? If s/he didn't, why would s/he have given us life to begin with? All this time I was complicating my life when the answer was so simple and right under my nose. You wouldn't believe how much easier life has been since then. It seems almost as if all the pieces of the puzzle have fallen in to place. Now that I am no longer mentally blocked, almost everyday it seems that something fun and interesting comes along. I worry less. I am meeting new and wonderful people and having experiences that I could only dream about before. And, believe it or not, even money seems to come more easily. There is something to this enjoy your life idea. I hope everybody realizes its value and gives it a try. Thank you for posting this thread. Love, Robyn

4Belief and enjoying life
by Introspection ini was thinking it must seem kind of strange for someone to hear me say belief is useless and to think less, that will likely mark me as nuts by both stereotypical camps so i thought i explain a bit.. first of all, let me say that as far as i'm concerned there is no reason to think that generally, belief, religious or otherwise can't be an honest attempt at describing reality.
however, that's the whole crux of the matter - i think it's important to distinguish between reality and one's description and model of it.
as accurate as some models may be it can never replace the real thing, certainly not when it's merely concepts in your head.. if you believe the bible, you would agree that creation reveals the glory of god.

So, now you've started with the name calling. I knew that you would show your ass. That is why I invited you to finish this conversation with me in private email. You say that you care about LU2K, but it is obvious you just care to rant and rave and tell yourself it is for some just cause.
I find it odd that you should feel so self-righteous that you would call me names especially when I haven't called you one. Yes, I have said that you were acting in a certain way at this time but I haven't called you a name. It's surprising that a man of your superior intellect doesn't notice the subtle difference.
Hmm, I see you don't deny being one of LU2K's 14 aliases, you just respond by calling me names. I was joking, okay being a smart ass, with that comment. But obviously your blood pressure is elevated so high that you can't differentiate between realism and somebody being facetious anymore.
Also, I am positive I am not a JW. But it appears that you must still be one or not long out of the tower by your total and complete intolerance of somebody who may have a different experience and opinion from your's.

LU2K's husband told me about her sickness and asked me to forgive her for what she did to me. You do not know what happened between us nor do you apparently want to know; not that I would tell you. I know much more about her than I am telling and I truly hope that she will get back on her meds.
You say that I am picking on her. You accuse me of all sort of things that you are much more guilty of than I. You try to say you are for freedom of speech when obviously you are only for your own freedom of speech. You refuse to take this fight to email as I asked you to do.
If I know a dog bites, I am going to warn others that the dog bites. Am I infringing on the dog's right to bite? You are not going to dissuade me from warning others about her.
In the end, you are not the one that has personal dealings with LU2K in her many incarnations here on JWD. You are not the one that got screwed, so you really don't have much to contribute to this thread other than running your mouth about how open minded you are. Go play a little with LU2K, when you get burned, maybe you will see things differently. Until then, follow your own advice and get a life.
Rant and rave all you want to. You may have the last word in this thread, if you wish. In my mind, you no longer exist. I will not respond to your futher fits of self-righteousness.

You seem to be very sensitive about the subject of U2K. You said:

This is a forum to discuss JW's and anything related. If you think that we are mostly JW's on this board, you haven't been paying much attention. Most of us are xJW's trying to recover from the damage done to us by the WTS. JW's are welcome here but are not the norm. If you want her JW opinions, why don't you just go back to the KH? Or, maybe you already attend the KH?
What exactly does Legendary contribute to the board? She comes on the board to stir up the flames. Her basic message is that JW's are right, we are wrong and of course stupid and will suffer at the hands of God for our stupidity.
Why try to surpass the Jws in the areas of shunning, disfellowshipping and marking?
I didn't ask anybody to shun her or disfellowship her. There seem to be many that get angry with her posts. I was merely informing them as to why she is the way she is. Her illogical statements and dellusional rantings are a great example to non JW's about how messed up JW's as a group are. Why would I not want her to post? She is such a great witness for Jehovah.
It seems though, in your last post, that you are trying to mark me because you do not agree with me. Since I obviously irritate you, why don't you just shun me? I won't miss you or your comments at all.
Tai Chi, I would say that you, too, need to get a life.

If she is a JW ,could she be disfellowshipped for visiting(and posting on) this website?I wonder what congregation she is associated with?
dsgal, yes she could get disfellowshipped for being here. I also know which congregation she attended before she moved to another state. However, I see no need in having that happen to her. I wouldn't wish that sort of fate on anybody. I hope that she will get help for her problem. Her husband told me that she won't take her medication.
I started this thread to try to warn others so that they will not be as badly burned as I was by her. If they want to get to know her better, that is their decision but they can't say that nobody warned them.
