Why, thank you, Sylvia.
I love Judaism. I just dont care for some of it's (very expensive) rituals. Even though I complain about the cost, Judaism has enriched my life, so it all evens out.

Yepper. Although as long as I don't eat the fermented food, I don't see what the big deal is about getting it out of my apartment or having to give it to a non-Jew.
I drove 50 miles one way to the Jewish grocery store and bought 3 little bags which cost close to $80.00. I hope the groceries will last half of the 8 day celebration. Maybe my conversion didn't take with my wallet which is screaming right now. Guess when the kosher groceries run out I will just eat veggies for the rest of the week. Jeez.

I've been awake since 0300 central time. I'm on my second cuppa. The cats are fed. Too bad it's going to rain, I was thinking of hitting a yard sale or two. I guess instead I'll deep clean the house since Passover is coming.

It's another instrument of division to make a group of people appear "more special" than others.
Or it might just be an ancient custom that has survived to this day. As far as making a group of people appear more special than others, I don't think so. We cannot all be the same. And why should we try to be homogeneous?
Just because a group of people are different from us doesn't mean they are our enemy. I've been reading your posts for quite some time and I know you know this, so I do not understand why you offer some people your support for their uniqueness but you can never muster the same good will toward the Jews.
