And btw, Lazy buttocks, my extremely liberal husband also recalls reading these reports and seeing them on the news. He also calls bullshit on this story. As a matter of fact, he called bullshit before I did. I'll be sure to let him know that you think we just pulled the stories out of our ass.

i was in the supermarket doing an early morning shop when i see an old friend of the family, a jw sister.. she asked me if i'd gone to the memorial and i told her no.
she said that the end is so close what with all the earthquakes and brother truthseeker, you need to come back to jehovah otherwise you will die and so will your children.

The only time such a thing was ever said to me was by my parents. I told them to get out of my house. I also told them if they were going to preach that sort of nonsense, they wouldn't be able to visit with my son, their first grandbaby. The shunning lasted about a month and then they broke down and apologized.
Since this was a friend, I guess you did the right thing to ignore it. You do know, don't you, that this sort of emotional blackmail is nonsense?
JWs have been preaching that Armageddon is just around the corner for decades now. The end was supposed to come in 1975. This system of things wasn't going to be here long enough for me to graduate high school. Well, I did graduate high school. As a matter of fact, my birthday was Saturday and I got AARPed. That's how long the WTBTS has been wrong.

Well, the news is in and it is grim. My b-i-l's nephew isn't expected to live. The nephew's wife is dead and so is their toddler, another child is in the hospital in Chattanooga and is not expected to live. The remaining child was not there when the tornado hit and wasn't harmed.
There is also loss of friends for my other family members.
Parts of Alabama are devastated. I would like to encourage everybody to make a contribution to Red Cross on behalf of the Alabama storm victims.

Famliy Woes
by exjwza inso my story, just like everyone elses that has left, is one of confusion , hurt, and lots of mixed emotions, .
i was raised a witness, and at the age of 20ish bent to pressure from the elders and got baptised, my heart was never in it, not even as a child, it was more jsut the motions of it, because thats what you were taught your whole life to do.
about a year after being baptised, i met a a young lady that opened my eyes, while she wasnt in my life long, (dont blame her, i had a lot to deal with , family, elders, etc) she was my saving grace, in the "truth" i was depressive, lonely, :( .

prana, life force, chakras? What?!
by finding my way ini went to a pranic healing class with my sister in law last week (i've been out 6 years and i'm starting to get pretty open minded).
i didn't expect to feel or experience anything "different".
i thought it was all weird but was not scared of the ideas like i would have been a few years ago.. so anyways we did a couple excercises where we held our hands a couple feet above our partners hands and visualized light in different colors beaming out of ours and hitting theres and then switched roles.

Our bodies produce and bioelectrical field, that field CAN be manipulted, both internally and externally.
It can be used to heal, to hurt, it can be used for spiritual advancment or to go to a deep and dark area that very few can even contemplate exists.
