  Thanks for showing the webpage site. I looked at yours and thought it was so coool!!!
  I started making one for my company. I have a few questions though. Did you have to pay to put your pictures in there? I want to put pictures on the first page. I just started creating it. Pretty amatuer.

  Hi Everyone. Thanks for the greetings. DC and I are doing great. Married life was pretty rough at the start, but things are going great. I love being married. DC girl is still adjusting. She turned 14 last month, and is making me crazy with the teen attitude. But I sure do love her.

  Gopher, I'm so glad you get to see your daughter. It sounds like you may have a lot of good coming your way finally. I love the pictures you posted. I will try to post pics this morning.

  (((((((TINA)))))) Good to hear from you. I will try to be more involved in the posting. I have been busy until recently. I took a week off from work. It's the first vacation I've had in 6 years.

  Would you employ a witness?

  lets get all hypothetical.

  lets imagine you are starting or have a business and you need an accountant.. one of your main concerns is their honesty.. you interview some potential employees.. they have very similar qualifications and experience.. the only difference is their religious beliefs.. person 1 is a catholic.. person 2 a moslem.. person 3 an atheist.. person 4 jehovah's witness.

  (imagine you are not disfellowshiped so they wont shun you).

  I would not hire a witness. Every witness I hired was a slacker. The one taking care of my books screwed me over to the tune of $450,000.00!! I am still struggling to get out from under the debt!

  i raised my child in the org., and she is now 14. i started smoking pot a month ago, and my daughter found out.

  of course she was taught that this is sooo bad.

  Thanks so much for your replies. I have taken no offense, and appreciate all of the information.
  My daughter has never seen me smoke pot. I do not use around her. That would be an even greater insult to her. I wait until she's in bed then step outside.
  I haven't had more than two or three hours of good sleep each night for the last 6 years. I went to my doctor and he prescribed sleeping pills, and migraine medication.(I get migraines too) I have been through the classes for stress relief, and learned things like "Bio-Feedback". It has all helped during the day.
  My daughter has watched me go through all of this, and she admits that I have been easier to get along with during the day and I don't blow up so easily when she is out of line. I am actually more reasonable. I think anybody would be a nicer person during the day if they were getting enough sleep.
  I am looking for alternative methods for help. Ones that are legal.
  I did have the alcohol and drugs talk with her, and she seems to understand, but I don't think I will continue smoking. I would seriously consider cooking with it though.(bedtime snacks!!!)

  Path; I do appreciate your frank and open comments. This is the kind of thinking I see in my daughter. This is why I came here to ask for help. Alternatives. I certainly don't want to be a "pothead" of anykind. I grew up thinking a pothead was someone that stayed stoned most of the time. In fact I knew some potheads.

  I have been out of the Org., for over a year now. I raised my child in the Org., and she is now 14. I started smoking pot a month ago, and my daughter found out. Of course she was taught that this is sooo bad. Now she is very confused.
  I don't smoke recreationaly, I do before bed for sleep. I am now sleeping 6 hours a night, without waking. I tried to explain it to her, but she is feeling very betrayed right now. What can I do? I have been very honest with her when she confronted me.
  I was taking sleeping pills, and then having a drink at night, and I feel smoking some pot is a lot safer, and cheaper.
  I really need some help with resolving the "do as I say, not as I do" conflict.

  The program did show pictures of the abuse. The children had bruises and scaring all the way up their legs, butt and back. The judge said the parents could only spank them with their hand and only on the buttocks.
  I think just by seeing the preacher, people will consider him not right in the head!!!!

  I know how you feel. I love the stormy weather though. I don't mind the rain so much if I am wearing my barn boots and rain gear.
  Wasasister had a great idea. We should all get together soon and have cookies and cookies and more cookies. Of course we would need to have a few of Wasa's lemon drop drinks.
  I feel sorry for my employees. They are working out in this weather.

  High Achieving Women

  some of you are aware of my feelings about the role of women in the christian congregation and know i chose a female priest (and someone who is now a good friend) to conduct thirdson and mrs. thirdsons wedding.

  what got me thinking was yesterdays review of the results of the "all colleague survey" with my manager when we discussed where we as department were doing well and where we needed improvement.

  my boss scored an approval rating of over 85% on nearly every topic.

  Well, when I was a JW, I was just starting my business. The more experience I had in the world of road construction, the more I learned to stand equal to men. I had to communicate with business men and the laborer as a professional. During this time there were Elders I had to supervise. That was just to much for them. I became a threat, therefore I remember some visits by the elders to my home regarding my attitude. I wasn't "humble".
  This really irritated me. To the point I finally told them they were no better than me. They were just"men". To this day, I have not had a visit from the elders, and I have been disassociated for over a year.
  I am still working hard as a business owner and have gained a lot of self confidence as a person and as a woman. I know I can do a lot of jobs as well if not better than a man.
  I respect men as they deserve it. If they don't deserve it, then I let them know what I think (In a professional way).
  I feel healthy mentally and I can look people, especially men in the eye when I talk to them.
  I hated the way men treated women in the Borg.
