11 show on last night, and most of it was the same ol' same ol'---but something did catch my attention.. video was being shown of people evacuating lower manhattan, and the brooklyn bridge was filled to capacity with people.. the voice over says, "people fled every way they could--they streamed across the bridge to brooklyn.".
now, i'm wondering, if you had just left ground zero and you were one of the ones runningon the bridge--and you saw a big sign that said--.
I go to a congregation in Jamaica, Queens, New York.
I was one of the many thousands that had to stream across the Brooklyn Bridge on 9/11 to get home safe to Queens.
There was not one (1) person from Bethel along the way to hand out water, wet towels, etc.
So much for Christian Love.........
However, there were many non-JW's helping out along Water Street to the Brooklyn Bridge and on into Brooklyn itself.
I consider those persons real Christians.

and my heart is breaking!..we just had it confirmed today.
he has 9 months to live so they say.
among all the heartbreak and pain he is crying and begging me to go to the kingdom hall with him.
Dear Golden Girl:
I am so sorry to hear about your husband.
If you can, try to go with him at least on Sundays. He really does need you and anything that will make him feel better will help you to feel better.
My father died of inoperable pancreatic cancer; they gave him 6 months to live and he died within 5 months. Whatever he wanted to do, we tried to help him and make him as comfortable as ever.
Also, please look into Hospice care. It is the greatest care for terminally ill patients and they really do help the family a lot.

i think i may have a potential problem on my hand.
over the last year or so, i've been attempting to go the slow fade route with the jw religion.
for the most part i've succeded, as my significant decrease in jw related activities has been greeted only by brief "pep talks" by my parents at worse.
This may be a way of them wanting to trump up any charges or accusations against you or to pressure you to come back to the meetings.
Since you are not in a financial position to be out on your own:
Listen politely.
Tell them you appreciate their concern in your spirituality.
Tell them that your schedule does not allow you to
attend meetings on a regular basis.
Do not tell them any of your thoughts on the organization. The minute you do, they will want to
disfellowship you and that will cause problems in
your household with your family and you may find
yourself out on the street with no place to live. The
elders are very wicked and have been wicked in convincing
parents to kick out of their homes disassociated or
disfellowshiped children.
Suggestion: Until you can be out on your own, you may want to maybe once or twice a month just go to the Sunday meetings to keep peace.

i just wanted to share with you all what i wrote to connie about the story on cnn.. i wanted to comment about the story done about jehovah's witnesses and the matter of them covering it up.
i have met bill bowen and heidi and amber.i flew from dallas to minnesota to be at heidi's press conference.
i was a jw and was raised this way.
I sent my e-mail to Connie Chung.
I requested that the gov't subpeona all the WT records on the abuse allegations, if WT has not already shredded such information.

I spoke with J.R. Brown and Joseph Pevy some months ago.
(In fact, I asked them scriptural questions and questioned them about the society's actions on certain matters).
He (J.R. Brown)is very soft-spoken and polite.
He is also a "snake" who is brainwashed.
He cannot be trusted. Any response he gives you is to divert attention away from the Society's guilt and wrong doing.
He is a "snake". I believe him to be a real "apostate"-
one who has subverted Bible Truth for the Society's lies.

We are all guilty for any part we have played in the WTS organization. We preached many lies to persons (unknowingly), but we did.
We owe everyone an apology.
Actually, when you think about it, we should be thanking Ray Franz and Bill Bowen for their insight and revelations about this corrupt organization.
