  ok after the serena williams thread and a few others that focus on looks i want to know what your idea of perfection in the opposite or same sex is.. i like muscular men with a full head of hair, i love classic features like a strong nose and jaw.. i also find blond blue eyed men sexy (don't ask me why).

  i don't like that are to thin, nice teeth and soft eyes.. ok now it's your turn.. .

  i have been researching on and off and just started up again for my dad.

  i've gotten back to 1869 and could get further, but all i run into is adds to pay on line companies.

  has anyone ever subscribed or used one of these out fits.

  Hi Snowbird:

  I am kind of curious. You mentioned this is a cultural thing with Black Men. Which black culture is this? African Americans, West Indian, Hispanics, etc?

  My husband is from Barbados and has never been controlling. Also, my father was of West Indian descent and he was never controlling with my mother and my three (3) brothers are not controlling with the women they love or have loved?

  Please clarify.

  The reason why I invoked the 'race card' in this situation is not because Vick should not be punished or the rapper that has supposedly committed the same type of offense. It is because there are others, not of the African American or black race that have been engaged in this type of animal cruelty for years, and to date- nothing is being done about it. No publicity, no charges, etc. Yet all we see currently in the news about this type of animal cruelty is about Vick and now this rapper.

  Also, your comment "I do believe there has been a few instances where blacks do get treated differently, but it is completely blown out of proportion".- is highly underestimated. There are so many statistics and facts that show more than a few instances of blacks in this country in jail unjustly, sentenced to extreme years in incarceration ,and many unjustly sentenced to death more than any other race..

  I do not understand why there were no or not many blacks protesting, as many of my friends and members of my family have had and have pets they love. But it may be that because Vick is Black and the unfairness many blacks have suffered in this country and currently still suffer, that many blacks are not speaking out in a public protest. However, if you go on the Black America website- the Tom Joyner Show you will see how Black America really feels about this entire Vick situation.

  I truly hope that does not happen to Rosalee because based on her comments and attitude of 'righteous indignation', she probably would not survive the DF and shunning that would be put upon her.

  She definitely needs to understand about forgiveness, compassion, and empathy.

  Note: Mirriam Webster's Deluxe Dictionary gives the following definition of : self-righteous- "convinced of one's own righteousness expecially in contrast withthe actions and beliefs of others; narrow-mindedly moralistic".

  Please accept my apology if I insulted you. Based on your posts-I called is as I saw it.

  Also, please continue on reading the different and various posts on this discussion board so you can hear from others (elders, MS, and members, etc). That way you can really know what this organization is truly about, how elders really act and make judicial committe decisions, and play favorites with the ones they want to see stay in the organization and the ones they want to DF.

  Then, if you can , take time to do your research on the full scope of the breadth and height of this organization.

  Enough said.

  Stop twisting the points I am trying to make, which was never to condone or make excuses for this young man's actions, but that we need to show understanding, empathy, and compassion.

  Also, refer to the scripture that points out that the righteous will inherit God's Kingdom, not the self-righteous, which you seem to fit the latter category.

  i have limited movement but i am now back at work and doing ok.. missed all of ya.

  i am now seeing another doc and hope something can be done for my arm.
