  I lost count at 6,000 .... a few years ago I sharted auctioning them off on ebay. Had a lot of extras I didn't need, I have about 4,000 books, booklst and journals now, all Watchtower/ BIble Student/ JW related

  What prompted the whopper of all Flip Flops? (Sodom & G. resurrection)

  in pre-studying my watchtower for this sunday, (with mary's assistance on v's thread of course), i was reminded of something i've wondered about re: the whole "will the residents of sodom & gomorrah be resurrected?

  " question.. to my knowledge, this one holds the watchtower record for most number of flip-flops.

  please correct me if i'm wrong.

  It boils down to the doctrine of the ransom. The staple of the Watchtower movement during the Russell years was the "ransom for all", that all will have the opportunity to accept God during the 1,000 year reign. Not that everyone will be saved, but that everyone will have the opportunity to be saved.

  When Russell died, the Judge threw that out the window and promoted the whole God's visible organization and there is no salvation outside of the God's spirit directed organization.

  They would flip flip without realizing the consequences of having the people of S&G saved.

  Most of the pictures in Bible Student literature is accessed via public domain, although we have a few artist. Recently the Dawn Bible Students published a fresh translation of Russell's. Tabernacle Shadows in Spanish. The cover design of the Tabernacle was drawn by a commercial artist, the print being on the net. The Dawn got permission to have the picture on their cover for a small fee. So if the pictures are not Public Domain, we give credit to where credit is due,

  Actually, the the Society has been know to take other peoples work and have an artist redraw it with minor chnages, like the liquor add they altered for their journal.

  While the two pictures above look similiar, it's hard to tell if they are the same or a copy of the other. The Society's version looks slightly different, bit it could be due to the scan.

  leaving the society was scary at first but i had to make myself grin and bear it.

  i have renewed my relationship with christ and i am looking foward to his wonderful blessings in my future.

  now that i am finally worshipping him in spirit and truth and i have the hope of going to heaven someday.

  IT IS INTERESTING THAT THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE SHOULD MAKE THAT CLAIM.

  Why shouldn't they? Their not affiliated with the Witnesses. In fact they are more extreme than the Witnesses when it comes to pagan practices and symbols. RR
