  Elders manual on ebay

  hi, i have just put a couple of books up for sale on ebay.

  one is the elders manual.

  should i expect any flack for selling it?.

  You should always expect flack for items like that. A Few Years I auctioned off disfellowshipping forms, with the envelopes that is addressed to the Society. I got dozens of hate mail via ebay. Stupid comments like "How could you do this?", "I'm gonna report you to the elders", yadda yadda. I thold them,why don't you bid on it, so that it doesn't get into the hands of the public. when the bid was over, I auctioned off another one. I had a whole stack of these papers.

  We begin our discussion of whether the trial court has subject matter jurisdiction to adjudicate this case with the long-recognized constitutional premise that courts will not become involved in matters of religious doctrine, governance or administration, policy or practice, or in "'any matter not affecting a property or civil right.'" Bentley v. Shanks, 348 S.W.2d 900, 903 (Tenn. Ct. App. 1960)(quoting Lewis v. Partee, 62 S.W. 328, 333 (Tenn. Ch. App. 1901)). We previously have examined the history and evolution of this premise in depth, and it is not necessary to repeat that discussion here. See, e.g., Anderson v. Watchtower Bible and Tract Soc'y of New York, Inc., No. M2004-01066-COA-R9-CV, 2007 WL 161035 (Tenn. Ct. App. Jan. 19, 2007). We reiterate that, grounded in our nation's belief in the separation of church and state and rooted in the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, the ecclesiastical abstention doctrine precludes the adjudication of disputes requiring extensive inquiry into matters of "ecclesiastical cognizance."   How did you dispose of all those excess magazines?

  we were always told not to throw away literature, so just what did we do with it all?

  i know that i would sneak it into the bin for recycling quite regularly.

  my parents kept all the magazines for over 20 years in ritz boxes in a cupboard, they all went yellow and smelt wierd.

  Were You A Happy JW or An Unhappy One?

  when you were a witness, were you happy or miserable?.

  i feel like i was pretty happy for over 20 of the 25 years.

  only the last 5 years and especially the last 1-2 years did i really burn out and just wasn't that into it.
