Thanks Titus, I was uploading the files today, I noticed the CD was defective, and that group of sermons was affected, so it will be some time before I can get a new CD , I'll let you know.

Russell and the Bible Students as well as mostr protestant groups of that time period, believed that the white horseman was the antichrist, and that the antichrist was Papacy. Bible Students today still teach this, as well as some protestant groups. In fact the forewords of many KJ Bibles of that time period stated so in their forewords.

The body of Rolando Rodriguez, 15, of Chicago, was discovered at Warren Dunes State Park, where he was reported missing Friday, the Berrien County Sheriff's Department said. A second body recovered Sunday at the same state park had been identified, but a name was not released.
Rolando was part of a group from the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1608 W. 68th. The body of a second member of the group, Ishmael Gonzales, 22, of Chicago, was discovered Saturday.

I agree 1914 cannot be forgotten, the very foundation of the WTS rest on it. Dismiss 1914, then you dismiss the Lord's presence, and if he hasn't returned then there is no faithful and discreet slave class for the Lord to put over his domestics. If they have no authority, then nothing they teach is relevant.

er ... sorry snowbird, I don't own that site. The Pastoral Bible Institute owns that site, I own the Bible Student Ministries site (formerly Bible Students Online) www.biblestudents.net
In any event, the Epiphany Studies in the Scriptures volumes authored by Paul S.L. Johnson can be obtained through the www.biblestandard.com website which is operated by the Laymen's Home Missionary Movement. You're better off buying the CD Rom wghich contains ALL their literature from 1918 to the present.

Watchtower cleans out Kingdom Hall Library's ...
by RR inlast night i got a call from a chap in the uk, who recently left the jw's.
he wanted to compare notes with his us counterparts.. he said that a few years ago, (i think about 2 years ago) the society cleaned out all the literature from every kingdom hall, particularly russell and rutherford books and anything prior to 1950. giving each hall a computer with the watchtower cd rom for them to use for research.
he wanted to know if the same was done in the states.

Yeah, I love those old experiences, "I found the Truth". Fifty years later, the Truth that brought them into the religion, is not outdated and chnaged several times over.
I kept the book, in fact I kept everything, and while frineds viewed it with suspicion that I had all these books, about 6,000 now in my library, the elders were the first ones at my door wanting to do research in my library for a talk, etc. This was before the CD Roms came out.

I have two complete sets of Studies in the Scriptures I could donate
Believe it or not, I have over 50 sets of the original Studies in the Scriptures. Don't ask me why, I find them and keep them, most are in boxes in the basement. Once in a while I get a request for a particular year and edition.
