Were you Stalked or Chased After Once you Exited the JW's by Elders ?

i tried to fade off the map by moving 30 miles initially in 2004 after i exited in late 2003 .

the first several years they didn't bother me.

i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

I moved 50 miles away and they tracked us down via my mother-in-law, who we specifically told not to give our number to the elders, but wanting to save our souls, gave it to them anyways. We had elders from both the French and the English congregations call us, including some from Bethel. Phone stalking us, we just told them, "don't call us, we'll call you." They eventually gave up.

I knew an xjw who claimed the elders were stalking them, he told me they tried to run him off the road. This guy was so paranoid that he now lives at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. He's been there for about 15 years now.

Have you hit your 50's? Are you feeling it, or do you still feel young?

i'm curious, because in my 40's i felt like a million dollars.

i am starting to feel it,....i just don't have the stamina of working in the yard all day, coming in making dinner and getting the laundry done at the same time, or working full time.. i see the years in my face when i don't get enough sleep, and no amount of makeup makes a difference.

my eyes seem to always look tired.

I like RR's idea, though, since I took Tang Soo Do many, many years ago.

I could recall 30 years ago, being able to lift my leg up doing side kicks, round house kicks, but my tendinities prevents me from doing so. So I spend a lot of time stretching, trying to limber up my leg muscles, because it is so painful when I do a side or roundhouse kick. Getting old stinks! but while we may not be able to stop it, we can at least slow it down.

I and many Bible Students have issues with this site, which is the work of one individual, and there is no love lost between us. My question, and one I have never gotten an answer to is, what right has the webmaster to say it is "official"? What makes it "official"? Russell is dead, he has no family, he loses all credibility in my book when he say "official website of Charles TAze Russell", givemeabreak, who authorized him? That's like me making a website, putiing a red dot on the mainpage and calling it "the official website of minimus"

Question about moving from one congregation to another

i understand that, if you want to move from a congregation to another, you need some sort of a letter from the previous congregation.

i suppose that would be the root of many an abuse by the elders of the old congregation.

what can you guys tell me?.

I remember when I left the congregation, I had stepped down a few months earlier, kicked the bookstudy out of my home, quit the school and refused to be an attendant. I told the elders that I was only going out in field service. When we left and joined another congregation a few miles away. The rumors started. In my old congo, I was unofficially charged with being an apostate, things got so bad that the Society sent a special representative to investigate, nothing was proven, no evidence pointed to me. But in the new congo, all of a sudden the elders at every opportunity coorelated everything to apostasy. It didn't matter what the subject was, apostasy found itself mentioned. So I knew the elders in my old congo mentioned something to the new elders. We lasted another few months, before we walked away and never returned, that was 20 years ago.

I'm almost there, 47. When I was a kid, I studied Tae Kwon Do for seven years. Last year after 30 , I went back to the dojo and began learning Jeet Kune Do, Kenpo Karate, Silat and Kali. Not an easy thing to do when you haven't exercised in 30 years. I was sore working out and sparring with kids half my age, and I've lost 12 lbs in the last month, down to 193 lbs. So hopefully, by the time I reach 50 in a few years I won't feel so old. LOL

RANDY WATTER'S DAD JUST DIED

randy watters, owner of freeminds.org father just died a couple of hours ago from pneumonia and alzheimers.

he was 86 years old.

as randy has been tireless in his efforts to help countless people come out of the wts, i would like to express my sincere condolences to him at this time.. .
