  the title to this post was 'the perfect presentation to cofuse householders.

  'greetings, i'm a member of the great crowd of other sheep rendering sacred service to the ancient of days in the earthly courtyard of the spiritual temple by following the example of the fine shepherd and engaging as a pioneer in preaching the good news of the kingdom with the sword of the spirit.

  we are helping to warn those not familiar with the divine name that the second presence of the chief agent of life has begun, and soon the last days will reach their culmination when the scarlet-colored wild beast will turn on the harlot and destroy babylon the great, beginning the great tribulation which is climaxed by har-magedon and the ruler of the world, now in tartarus, being thrown into the abyss for the rest of the last adam's millennial reign.

  Hysterical....can't believe I actually believed this baloney
  I remember calling on people and saying stuff like "Hi I'm calling with some good news.....do you like good news 'cos there's so much bad news about isn't there ?"..and then I'd show them the magazines with pictures of Armageddon , death and destruction on the cover or something like "Breaking free from the shackles of spiritism" or "Comic Books...why your kids shouldn't read them"

  i feel humiliated posting this but i think it needs to be said to illustrate the absolute stupidity of jw "mind control"and the lengths innocent young people will go to further"kingdom interests"... here goes.....when i was 21 i was still a jw virgin but was courting a jw pioneer (i was reg.

  Thanks for comments....very encouraging...I think I should talk to my doc.Venice yes it was before the WT changed their mind about vasectomies(1990)However it was still frowned upon and left to conscience.

  On the subject,I read in a newspaper that vasectomies can lead to depression.This is true in my case;whether it's a physical/psychological thing I don't know but I often look at blokes my age with kids and wonder what if?Didn't know about the possibility of getting sperm out and storing it...I suppose they'd have to open up my testicle and catch the little critters!heh heh..

  Here goes.....when I was 21 I was still a jw virgin but was courting a jw pioneer (I was reg. pioneer also) Because of the impending last days and Armageddon looming according to WT I decided that I (WE) would never have children in "this system of things" so ...guess what..I had a vasectomy!How dunb is that??
  For the past 2-3 years (I have since divorced the "sister" I was with who absolutely agreed with my decision!) I have begun to regret this foolish decision I made at such a young and impressionable age.
  I doubt if there is any turning back as the longer you leave it the harder a "reversal" is possible.............comments please?....

  im a liceinced electrician now working in wireless communication installations.i love the electrical industry,there is so much to learn and so many different things do work with and technology is always changing.never a boaring day especially when we are working in the office buildings downtown,chicks everywhere!.

  I wasted my early years pioneering so didn't go to college and university,so now I work with my dad in his wrought iron firm.Fortunately we work separately but under the same roof..split the bills etc.not ideal but at least I'm my own boss and can sometimes make a killing on bigger jobs.Now that I'm out of jw's I'm thinking about doing a degree in something that interests me.If I don't get it so what at least I'm in a job and I tried :D

  Whats the dumbest thing you were counselled for?

  i was once counselled by the elders for watching 'knots landing'....it became widely known in the congregation that me and a few other sisters would rush home from field service to watch our favourite soapie.

  if we missed it, we would ring each other up for an update...or...if we weren't near a tv we would ask someone to put the phone handset on the top of their tv so we could hear it...pathetic huh...but that was all the excitement we could scrounge up in our otherwise dull and uneventful lives.

  one of the elder's wive's conscience got the better of her...and she confessed to her husband..lol.

  I was counselled for wearing black joggers with the name "PUMA"emblazoned on one leg at pre-assembly drama practice!I was told that no worldly slogans should be seen at assembly grounds regardless whether it was cleaning or what.
  Also been counselled for doing street witnessing in someone elses territory (it would otherwise NEVER have been covered by local cong)

  come on admit it, if you were brought up a witness you were dead scared that you were going to end up like the men you saw prowling the assembles and congregations looking for wives.. there would always be men and women in there 30's and 40 who had never had a boy or girl friend.. i used to know quite a few.. the horror of their lives shocks me.. now i not dissing anyone who has chosen not to marry that is their choice.but these people i know want to meet someone and get married.. but the bad news is that the older they get the harder it is to find a wife .what makes it worse is that the choice is so limited.. many of these grown men are even affraid of women .

  why?.

  because they are taught that even to look at a woman is to commit imorality let alone talk to one.. i knew a brother who had never had a girl friend , he was about 26 at the time.now a sister asks to go out with him so he accepts.quite soon she wants to hold his hand.. this brother now tells her off, for in the family book it says holding hands is only for people who are going to get married.. he doesn't go out with such a spiritually weak sister again.. what has the socity done to these peoples lives.. many people who were once happy teenagers hoping to meet the wife or husband of their dreams are now approaching 40 or even older and have never even had a girlfriend.theri only hope is the new system and i don't want to breack the news to them but its not coming.

  While we're on the subject of Wales now theres a whole can of worms of bad congs.....heard a lot of stuff about Anglesey.....immorality favoritism etc wife swopping.
  What amazes me is how we shut our minds to stuff while we're active jw's...just refer to "well these people are just th weak ones..Jesus said we'll always have the weak with us" and "the smaller instruments in the orchestra analogy" !

  this comes from the branch in canada....... in england one of our blind brothers had a seeing-eye dog that would.

  faithfully guide and take him to the meetings each week.

  Sleepy that is soooo true luckily not for me!
  I knew one brother who was probably in his late 20's early 30's and used to prowl assemblies for sisters(ISP remember)Trouble is he was really slimey and gave sisters the heebie jeebies
  Last I'd heard he'd had a complete breakdown and was back in Wales living with his mother.(He must be 40 odd now at least)
