  Simon....Irlam sucks!
  I did a job there and couldn't wait to get home
  The only thing I'm jealous of is it's very near to Trafford Centre and Bowlers for computer fair!
  I went to bowlers today (16th) Bought some cheap cd's and dvd's
  I hate having to pay 4 quid to get in!

  Can a jw be punished for withholding sex?

  my wife and i have seperated,and i had to talk to the elders yesterday one of the things they asked did i withhold sex from my wife?

  odd question ?

  has anyone invited you to the memorial yet?.

  my old cong knows my address and phone number yet no-one has visited or phoned to invite me.

  beck "not ay home (or s-8)" slips were banned acouple of years ago (in uk anyway),due to data protection act,so what they do is scribble n.h's on scraps of paper instead but they can't be distributed!!

  collegirl I'm sooo glad you're 19 and at college ... use your time wisely believe me before you can cough you'll be 30.Cos I was a dub i left school at sixteen and wasted my time pioneering.I always had niggling doubts but buried 'em (just kept thinking about the carrott)
  When I was 19 I probably would have "marked" somebody who talked "apostate" to me and secretly shunned him !!What an a--hole.
  Amazing how things turn out.
  Get out while you're still young and see how your "friends" treat you.
  I can't believe the so called mates of mine who now don't even call or phone me just to see how I am (never mind the bible)
  I've found more friends on here in the last month than any jw's in the past 10 years and they don't even know me personally.

  Mine's the opposite of the rags to riches story at least from a jw's point of view.I was brought up as a jw from the age of 7...by the time I was 20 I was a reg pioneer servant never off the platform etc you know one of those vomit inducing do gooder types who all the elders and pioneers loved to bits and I kissed their arses too.
  After marrying a pioneer it all went steadily downhill(!)
  Didn't have any secular qualifications ... wife suddenly decided she NOW wants a career....Due to marriage probs becoming obvious to elders they took me off servantship,not long after marriage ended..divorced..got remarried too quick (rebound)to screwed up jw.
  Had a breakdown leading to depression..meeting attendance haphazard
  ...by this time i was in late 20's early '30's...still in "truth" but struggling

  Flash forward to July 2001.Went to assembly (what a bore).Never attended another meeting since!

  Looking back though i did have my doubts even early on but buried them.(once sneaked a peek of apostate book in public library)

  When I got on internet the temptation was too much..now here I am...

  Col 3:5 .....man everytime that scripture was read I went bright red at meetings.Always tried to be ill or on car park duty if there was gonna be a talk about masturbation or oral sex hehheh!I KNOW I'm not the only one...

  Hi wick...Remember our brief discussion about the red crabs on Christmas Island?Well I couldn't believe it when I saw an advert on telly set on Christmas Island with the crabs and a car dodging them!!
  Its an advert for a car and it shows the car dodging(computer generated)crabs to the music of the theme for Fight Club!Really original its a pity you can't get ITV oner there (or can you)

  good tv shows?

  hello just wanted to ask what tv shows do u guys watch?

  we have limited choices over here but now i know where to get tv rips (evil me)..anyways..what are good to consider?

  some shows i'm into are sex and the city, friends, and felicity that's about it..southpark too but dont get to watch now..ahh yah i watched survivor too and fear factor when i get to catch it..

  I'm not a big fan of tv shows but I love "The Prisoner"when it is reshown(usually on sci-fi channel)
  Also adore "The Twilight Zone"
  Currently I enjoy those police forensic documentaries on ch.5 like
  "Autopsy","Crime Scene Investigators","FBI files"etc.Fascinating.
