funds for kh expansion and perhaps other activities now seem to be harder to come by.. .

how they must agonize over dealing with the incessant questions of their mates about ``what are you going to do this christmas," ``what did santa bring you?
'' -- not to mention listening to the spirited banter of their school friends recounting how much fun they had and what they found under tree christmas morning, etc.

Yoyo, you are a complete moron. I grew up as a Witness kid, and
unfortunately, my kids are growing up as (partial) Witness kids. The
two week vacation is insignificant.
Christmas parties, concerts, pageants, gift exchanges, decorating,
and cards have been going on for a couple of weeks. After returning
to school, then the questions center around what everyone got.
It is the toughest time of the year to be a JW kid.

In Canada, the no sub policy has been in place for several years.
You may also be surprised at just how few subs are actually in place,
other than for JW's themselves. When I was a ministerial servant,
we got a list of all sub holders in our territory. There were only 12.
This is in a territory with a population of around 25,000 and a cong
of 70.

....so the meeting finishes and im ready to bolt to the new middle eastern resteraunt just opened around the corner, and this brother comes up to me, funny actually he rarely speaks to me.... it was after the last weeks watchtower study ( those there will relate to this ).....he comes and starts talking about the study, and how jehovah when he destroy's .999 times 6 x 10 9 of earthlings he will be within his wright because " they cant say they werent told and didnt have enough time to do something about it ".

I don't think that JW's are any more bloodthirsty than the rest of the
world. They have simply repeated these platitudes so many times that
they no longer hold onto their actual meanings. It is a routine, almost
a chant, that the world will be murdered.
When someone like you forces them to face the reality of their statement,
they react with shock, as if that is not what they meant at all. They need
to "Awake".
here is a little story that i thought you might find interesting.. last week, the local jw sisters dropped by our house to enquire.
as to our recent absences (we actually had good excuses this time).. one of the sisters has a son who is in my daughter's grade 6 class.. during the visit, she asked what we were doing with regard to harry.

This has already happened. I did not mention that we are regular publishers
in the same congregation. My daughter HAS read the books and even did a
book report on one of them. The teacher knows that neither of the children
take part in Christmas, etc, yet he sees them take completely different
stands on this issue. He must think that this org is totally out to lunch.
I have told my daughter that if anyone asks about it, she should say that they
are Orthodox and we are Reformed.
