Bastard means "born of unwed parents". Jesus' mother was not married,
either to Joseph or Jehovah. So, it doesn't matter who the real father was.
Therefore, based on the Bible's own rules, Jesus is by definition, a bastard.
Do you suppose that we could have shoes made with the words "Why 1914",
or some other short appostate slogan? Think of the fun you could have wearing
them on muddy days in field service or in the kingdom hall parking lot - just don't
cross your legs at the meetings.

the first was to stand up while everybody else was quietly listening to the meeting and throw my bible across the hall in a fit of frustration with the intention of hitting someone and waking up.
I like to change the occasional word in songs. If you sing fairly quietly,
and find a spot in the song where the actual word rhymes with another,
more ridiculous or obscene word, just throw it in. No one will know the
difference.

literally. When scientific progress made that literal interpretation untenable, then it was
converted to symbolic or figurative.
If you begin with the assumption that the Bible is always right, you can adjust the facts by
saying that whenever it is wrong, it is not to be taken literally.
If a book doesn't mean what it says, then it doesn't mean anything at all.

Yes, I agree with Moxy about the hours. As I understood it, the hourly requirement for
pioneers was 90 per month, with one month for vacation where only 10 hours were required.
So: (90 x 11) + 10 = 1,000
But, yet again, this is a confusing piece of information, because it has been changed for
a while now. I wonder if TV guide faked the interview by piecing together a 15 year old
interview and a current one?
