It sounds a bit like the "Charity status" situation, of making each congregation a charity in its own right. Was this to ensure that if a congregation were to go against the charity laws, it would not drag down or effect the "mother organisation" - whoever that might be.

i can only imagine it to be the utmost humiliation on top of a public disfellowshipping and can't imagine having to go through it.

Luk 15 ...speaks about the prodigal son, his father who ran out to meet him, certainly didn't shun him - didn't sit at the back of the room for 1 year, while he heard everyone else eating food. in fact he did the opposite - ordering a banquet especially for him. At that time, he didn't even know whether or not he was repentant.. The very fact that he came back, was enough to make that Father act as a christian.
As usual, the elder older brother was very upset about this.
Surely we could learn a lesson from this parable. I personally have got into a lot of trouble many times for speaking to such ones, but my conscience is clear.

as you have admitted, the watch tower bible & tract society did join the united nations as a non government organization in 1992 ending in 2001, and according to the following watch tower this means that by their own actions they disassociated them selves from jehovahs organization which means that we must treat them like disfellowshiped ones.
in other words they are no longer jehovahs witnesses or have any right to that name.

My wife and I went through this process seven weeks ago, where we had documented evidence about the UN Involvement, paedophilia, failed prophecies, alleged shares in warfare etc. But we started off the meeting by saying "we have serious doubts about the organisation ..", then after that we went into the heavy stuff. We were covering ourselves with the scripture in Jude v.22 "continue showing mercy to some that have doubts..."
Nothing has come of this four hour meeting, even though the two elders were given a personal set of all of our documents. Not even a phone call !
After hearing their excuses on all of these fronts, we quoted James 4:17.."Therefore if one knows how to do what is right and yet does not do it, it is a sin for him."
Also Lev. 5:1 "...now in case a soul sins in that he has heard public cursing and he is a witness or he has seen it or has come to know of it, if he does not REPORT it, then he must answer for his error" again we were answering from the scriptures in relation to UN etc.

ok everyone...i am new.. i don't know what to say....just hello.. i am a disfellowshipped jehovah's witness...which maybe one day i will get in detail about....but right now it's still too painful.. besides if i talk about it i feel like i am talking bad about people or hindering jehovah's spirit with others.
i realy try to shy away from speaking badly of people...even if they hurt me.. what i believe in my heart is no one can truely hurt you if your standing with the creator is good in his eyes.they in reality hurt only themselves,because they hinder thier relationship with our maker.. i do not like to talk bad about any religious group realy because, i think what if jehovah some how aproved of them and then i am introuble!.
i can't remember where the scripture is but it is about the apostles and the advice was to let them go....and if they were from god then you know....but if they weren't then it would end...thier preaching and basically god would take care of them.. i feel jesus could say the things he did of religious leaders because,well.....he is th son of god and these people claimed to represent his dad.
