  i noticed over the years how bros & sis(tm) would pronounce words/names differently or totally substitute them so as not to sound offensive.. egs:.

  instead of 'bible aids' a bro(tm) said 'bible helps' thus avoiding aids disease!?!.

  instead of sodom the bro(tm) pronounced it 'sow dom'.

  We had one elder who always pronounced king Asa as Arse-a.

  And as a youngster I couldn't contain myself when I learned there was a place called Nob.

  Even now that makes me smile - what a juvenile lol.

  any advice about what really works for deep wrinkles/ sun damage?

  the new system is not here, and i worked outside for years without adequate protection from the sun.

  a change the society is going to make on Thursday night meetings, can someone confirm this for me?

  my mother gets a call from a dear friend in the midwest.

  and this friend begins to tell my mom that her kids who attend congregations in california were told that there "thursday night meeting" or the "theocratic ministry school" is being somewhat cancelled, and that it will be considered "family night".

  this would start sometime in the next couple of months.. the reason for this change is to entice the younger generation, because there is a dramatic decrease in attendence at the meetings, and that this in some way would help them to have more interest.. what are your thoughts?

  Ok so tell me, If you don't go to university are you more or less likely to get a poorly paid job at the end?

  The irony / sadness is, you cannot expect a poorly educated speaker or the poorly educated audience to see the flaw in this reasoning.
