There isn't a talk number three this week, it's the review so no student talks.
Next week it is: Why we should not "Pay attention to false stories".
The number 3 talk can be given by a brother or a sister.

jehovah, please allow our house to sell so we can go preach in another country where the need is great.. jehovah please help me get that job where i dont have to work shiftwork anymore and i can make all the meetings.. jehovah we need $200 so we can go to the convention, please look after us.. ah yes, the prayers of the faithful one.
how we look at these and feel our hearts swell with love for our god.
many of us at one time or another have asked for things such as these.
In the UK last week Ukranian Pavlo Lapshyn was convicted of murdering and bombing against islam.
One bomb detonated outside a mosque one hour before prayers began. Because it was Ramadan the prayers were to start an hour later than usual, otherwise the mosque would have been full at the time.
Someone from the mosque commented that Allah had saved many lives that day.

so let's say i've thought about having some vinyl lettering printed up and stuck on the back windshield of the car to publicize ttatt...what should it say?.
"do you know ttatt?".
"jehovah's witnesses are a cult that breaks up families".
"The year 1925 is a date definitely and clearly marked in Scriptures, even more clearly than that of 1914." (WT 1924, p. 211)
"Millions now living will never die." Will you fall for that a second time?

@TTATTElder - and that money will be heavily invested for maximum interest / returns.
It would kill them if they lost their tax free status, even with all the free labour they get, but what do you expect when the only qualifications to run this 'business' are 60 hours ministry each month and subservience to the great 8.

12 since the establishment of the kingdom in 1914, the king has refined the way gods servants are organized to do his fathers will.
(read isaiah 60:17.

Hilarious DD,

why did the watchtower downplay homosexual sex acts preventing a innocent spouse from remarrying?
there are groups through various countries who don't believe homosexual sex is "fornication" and men are allowed to keep their wives and men can go on "the down low" possibly infecting women with h.i.v., why did it take decades for the watchtower to say homosexual acts are grounds for a divorce?
the watchtower's teachings are the most unstable of all the fringe religious groups in america, they can't get things right that christendom knew about for thousands of years (almost two thousands to the critics), so why follow a group who can't read the bible?.
Hi DOC,
I was thinking of these two, both from 1983...
w83 3/15 p. 31 Honor Godly Marriage! - "What, though, if one mate wants or even demands to share with his or her partner in what is clearly a perverted sex practice? The above-presented facts show that porneia involves unlawful sexual conduct outside the marital arrangement. Thus, a mate’s enforcing perverted acts, such as oral or anal sex, within the marriage would not constitute a Scriptural basis for a divorce that would free either for remarriage"
No-one else's business! - w83 3/15 p. 31 Honor Godly Marriage! - "As already stated, it is not for elders to "police" the private marital matters of couples in the congregation."
I see where you're coming from because it doesn't explicitly mention df'ing. However, since it's not pornea any longer, you cannot be df'd for that.
I guess you're right that if an elder body so decided, they could maybe give you a hard time using brazen conduct now, or some such despite being told not to police anyone's sex life aymore.
Thanks for clarifying.

let your kingdom comebut when?.
this generation will not pass away.
What is the Bible's definition of a Generation:
35 years: (Job 42:16, 17) "And Job continued living after this a hundred and forty years and came to see his sons and his grandsons—four generations.
37 years: Jerusalem was destroyed about 37 years later when Jesus said "this generation will by no means pass away"
38 years: Deut 2:14 - And the days that we walked from Ka′desh-bar′ne·a until we crossed the torrent valley of Ze′red were thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war had come to their end.
(Mt 1:17) "All the generations, then, from Abraham until David were fourteen generations, and from David until the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon until the Christ fourteen generations":
- Abraham to David : 2018BCE -> 1107BCE /14 generations = 65 years
- David to deportation : 1107BCE -> 617BCE / 14 generations = 35 years
- Deportation to Christ : 617BCE -> 29CE / 14 generations = 46 years

Following on from Quarterback's accurate explanation, for the same reason the WT also taught that you could not get a divorce if your partner was caught committng bestiality.
If you divorced your partner then remarried, you were disfellowshipped for adultery.
Conversely, you could be disfellowshipped for practising 'perverse acts' with your marriage partner, but this has since been rescinded.
I wonder how many divorced their partners for such 'peverse acts', only to later find out that their divorce and remarry was no longer seen as legitimate and clean, leaving them in an adulterous marriage.
As the WT kindly said in w83 3/15 p. 31 Honor Godly Marriage! "Those who acted on the basis of the knowledge they had at the time are not to be criticized. Nor would this affect the standing of a person who in the past believed that a mate’s perverted sexual conduct within marriage amounted to porneia and, hence, obtained a divorce and is now remarried."
How nice.

SFPW: b : a group of individuals born and living contemporaneously
Thank you for that dictionary definition of 'generation'. Please note that it says 'a group', not 'two groups'.
Maybe you should have looked up 'contemporaneously' as well: "existing, occurring, or originating during the same time", therefore not 60 years apart.

at the moment i am still going to all the meetings (for family reasons).. we have at the moment 1 df person who regularly comes (already df for 1.5 years).. when i opened him the door i always greeted him but in the hall i didn't as others could see it.. now i decided that my conscience can not bear this any longer.
i will greet him also in the hall or when others are around.. if any elders notice it and talk to me, i tell them my conscience does not allow to not greet that person.. did any of you do that too and have some experiences?.
I used to speak with them as well - not loads of chatter, just asking how they were, it was good to see them - that sort of thing.
To my mind there was a difference between someone who was df'd and didn't want the JW's, and those who were df'd and were trying hard, over many months, to get reinstated.
An elder once asked me why I was talking to them, since I wasn't an elder. I asked him to show me from the scriptures where that differentiation was made. End of conversation.
My opinion was that Jesus wouldn't punish a right hearted person who had made some mistakes, he would help and encourage them.
