a minny man in a local congregation has a beard...he was bullied by the elders to remove it.. then the co came along and told the elders to allow him to keep his beard.
(not as the result of any skin condition or anything).. i kid you not!!!.
what do you make of that?.
Do you know which CO it was?

ive no source for this, just personal speculation.. * there is a good case to be made that there were female deacons (ministerial servants) in the bible.. * there is a lack of qualified brothers for basic assignments such as microphones, accounts, literature.
in some cases, elders have had to do double duty because of a lack of ministerial servants or qualified brothers.. * women outnumber men in the organization.. * there is supposedly a surprising change coming "down the pipe".. perhaps the only difference between male and female ministerial servants is that women will still not be allowed to teach..
sir82: 1 Timothy 3:1 specifically states "man". The WTS can twist the meanings of words as well as anyone, but even they'd have a hard time with that one!
It only says 'man' in relation to the 'overseer' (elder), not the ministerial servant.
Midway through the list of qualifications for an MS it says (vs 11) "Women should likewise be serious, not slanderous, moderate in habits, faithful in all things." Why mention women at all, let alone between verses discussing MS's, if they are not being discussed in this context?
bennyk: "I commend to YOU Phoebe our sister, who is a minister of the congregation in Cenchreae..." (Romans 16:1 NWT)
The greek word used here for 'minister' is exactly the same as used in 1Tim 3 when it lists the qualifications for a ministerial servant.

can we compile a list of things you have to believe as a jw.
perhaps with references.
no conscience matters included..
There is only one thing JW's have to believe, and that is whatever the GB says, you must unquestioningly obey.
It doesn't matter what is in the Bible, it doesn't matter what they have said before.
"A God's voice, and not a mans!"

the annual meeting of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses will be in october 2014.. .. in november 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of november 2013 watchtower page 16 paragraph 17 says:.
"at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".
"be ready to obey ANY instructions we receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or HUMAN STANDPOINT, or not."
"the lifesaving direction we receive from Jehovah's organization MAY NOT APPEAR PRACTICAL from a HUMAN STANDPOINT "
But from the other side of their mouth they say:
*** w09 6/15 p. 23 par. 15 The Faithful Steward and Its Governing Body ***
"They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special insights beyond what even some experienced members of the great crowd may have. (Rev. 7:9) They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the other sheep have."
This being the case, how can they give anything OTHER than a human viewpoint?
They do not have any more insight or holy spirit than you, me, or dear old sister Doris Oldbody who falls asleep on the front row all the time.
The GB can offer nothing more than another mere human viewpoint, so if it doesn't look 'sound' or 'practical' then I for one will trust my own level-headed judgment in favour of their ivory tower, incoherent, self-serving, liable to be reversed opinion.

after the 1975 "we did not say point blank armaggeddon was coming we only suggested it might come" fiasco what is the new date jws are "hinting" at for armaggeddon?
i know now they do not point to any specific date but hint that maybe it might occur such as before 2000 the preaching work will be finished.
this is a suggestion not a prediction so they can wiggle out of this one.
Why change the record when it's such a happifying tune?

This is a bit 'far out'...
I wonder if they will suggest the 'gathering' of annointed ones has started; technically there's nothing to say how or how long it will take for the annointed to be 'gathered' into heaven. This gathering is the precursor to the full borg invasion. It may be releaved that the gathering into heaven started in 1975 for example(invisibly of course).
Perhaps they are not raptured, just raised after shuffling of this mortal coil!
Not at all 'far out', in fact it is a current teaching!
*** w89 4/1 p. 15 par. 19 Hear What the Spirit Says to the Congregations ***
"Evidently, with the presence of Christ now a reality, the heavenly resurrection has begun."

"What is now chapter 2 of this letter reveals that some in that congregation had become “excited” about Jehovah’s day to the point that they believed that its arrival was then imminent."
*** w12 6/15 p. 24 par. 19 Why Put Jehovah’s Service First? ***

the best thing to come from the regenal convention this summer, is to see women used as attendants at the end of the program.
they were used in distributing the new publications to convention delegates..
Don't get too excited, they're not actually classified as Attendants.
They don't get the same badge and I think they have to register as a +1 to a brother.

first of all i want to express my sincere gratitude to atlantis and his good friends for making this 2014 book available.. ------------.
as i see it, and i am absolutely open to contradiction, the wts appears to be giving another new meaning to this generation.
this time the term means all of his anointed followers, including his immediate disciples.
Crazy guy The first generation was born around 1900
The first generation actually started to be born around 1840, maybe even 1830. They finished being born around 1900.
