The official WT position is that even though Christ has been ruling for 100 years already, this is not part of the 1,000 year reign.
Therefore the 1,000 year reign will correspond to the 1,000 year abyssing - both are still future.

the thread about satan in the abyss for 1000 years prompts a question.. jesus will rule for 1000 years.. jesus began ruling in 1914, which means his 1000 year reign will end in 2914.. satan will be abyssed for 1000 years.. if the end comes in 2020, satan will be abyssed in 2020, and then released in 3020.. what happens between 2914 and 3020?.
honest question..

a jehovahs witness who was sacked as a fitness coach after telling a gym member that yoga would allow evil into her body has won a pay out for unfair dismissal.. maciej grochowski, was sacked from his role at the virgin active gym in middleton after several warnings over complaints he was making staff and clients uncomfortable by discussing his beliefs.. he was finally given the boot after writing a series of e-mails to bosses spelling out his religious opinions on issues such as halloween and satanism.. an employment tribunal ruled he was unfairly dismissed as he had not breached the terms of a final warning banning him from discussing religion when it was unwelcome or made others feel uncomfortable.".
"mr grochowski was first warned about his behaviour in june 2011, after several members contacted the gym to see when he was working so they could avoid being there at the same time.
So yoga fractions are allowed.
I can see a trend emerging.

i've noticed, partilcularly on instagram, a advertising blitz for jw.org by the dubs.
primarily its the younger ones 35 and under vs older ones.
i dont know if its just my friends or everyone but they are obsessed with jw.org.
DocHouse This nonsense about the icon being an idol is ridiculous. We neither kneel, kiss, nor pray to it.
But it IS venerated.
It is the symbol placed most prominently on every Kingdom Hall (or soon will be).
It is the subject of our modern door to door preaching.
There is literature printed with the aim of marketing it.
There are presentations and demonstrations given on how to promote it.
It is a primary topic in our meetings.
The GB are producing videos all about it, for the publishers to share with the world.
It is used for Family Worship nights.
How long before it also appears on the Year-text poster that is hung in the front of the kingdom hall, before which the congregation bows its' head in prayer?
Just take a look at all of the convention goers proudly displaying their jw.org badges, pins, brollies, lucky charms, and tell me honestly that you don't see it being used as an idol.

dr. joy fridey and martketing ceo nick samaniego both have comtributed much time in educating us.
i know that the videos aren't up yet, so no one has seen them.
but i think it would be awesome for them to receive thank you cards from not just myself but many jws and ex-jws who appreciate what they do.
Hi Chinedu from Africa (Nigeria?), it's good to have you here.
How are things looking for the brothers over where you are?
Stick around and read some of the older posts - you will meet an assortment of people in this community.

about a month ago, i realized that i didn't really care about my still-in jw family.
i just want to be left alone by them.
they caused me so much grief.
Amazing story. I would add 'brave' to your list as well.
Taking control, making decisions - it's good for your mental health. Well done for you.

today i was at the meeting (i go there about once a month now).
in the service meeting they had a part where they interviewed the secretary of the congregation.. so one question was: "why are the service reports so important?".
our secretary explained that the reports are important, because the elders can see, who is spiritually weak.
EmptyInside How do the elders count their time? I thought they could include their public talks, shepherding calls, and family studies. So,after all that, they probably only have to go out another five hours in service.
Not to forget that if you are on the RBC then you can claim so many hours per month towards your pioneering.
Smart pioneers join teams like this. Much better than trudging the streets, kudos for being in a theocratic team, AND you never have to worry about getting your hours in because they are given to you!

ok, i'll admit it...i am weak.... as everyone knows, the pressure to "pioneer" during "the most momentous, awesome, amazing, centenary anniversay of jesus invisble kigdom rule, & distribute tracts about a dodgy website" campaign is very strong at the moment.... also, many will have read my threads about the extreme views and expectations in our cong for "all appointed men to pioneer" etc..... every elder and ms and their families have been announced as pioneering....i mean everyone's name was read out except mine..... i was not going to do it, as i do not believe anyone should be forced...(and of course its the last thing on earth i would rather do anyway since learning ttatt).
but i am not quite ready to make the break yet, so i realised that i would stand out more if i didnt put in a form to pioneer.
yes it would make me more conspicious, and make fading harder to do...it would bring more heat on me if i didnt pioneer.. so i gave in and submitted a form.... now, of course, i'm only going to make sure i'm seen at the key field service groups etc...but then go and do something more interesting...like count blades of grass..... ahh....i feel hypocritical to myself now......
Ah, just found the reference to placing literature online.

Send an Article or a Publication to Someone You Know:Attach a downloaded PDF or an EPUB to an e-mail. Or download an audio version of a publication onto a CD. Each time you give someone who is not baptized a complete electronic book, brochure, or magazine, you may count it as a placement. Material should not be sent anonymously or in bulk. Neither should it be uploaded to any other Internet Web site.

one of the parts had a skit with 3 or 4 young brothers playing a game of "what i will look forward to in the new system".
one wanted a house by the beach.
one wanted a house in the forest.
As BluesBrother points out, that verse is from Ps 145.
A parallel portion helps to explain it more accurately:
(Psalm 104:24, 27-28)
24 How many your works are, O Jehovah! You have made all of them in wisdom. The earth is full of what you have made.
27 All of them wait for you To give them their food in its season.
28 What you give them, they gather. When you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.
So this pertains to all creatures not just man, and it relates to their basic needs, not their materialistic wishes.
Seems to me that the demonstration at the convention has both misunderstood and misrepresented that Psalmist, and by extension (what a great phrase lol) also Jehovah.

Simon Just post here and count the time.
This is actually a great suggestion.
What was the letter/KM that explained how to witness online, and how to count placements?
I've looked for it but can't find it?
