  That was 60 years ago. Can anyone find an older reference?

  Scully makes a great point.

  Mothers milk has White Blood Cells in (leukocytes).

  If JW's are not to eat blood or it's main components, how can mothers milk be acceptable? No messing with terminology like 'transfusion', babies EAT these cells.

  WT says White Cells make up about 0.1% of blood, and as a Primary Component they are banned.

  WT says Hemoglobin makes up about 15% of blood. This is not a Primary Component, so is acceptable.

  I find it highly unlikely that Jesus would spend 23 verses (vs 21 to 44) talking about something the WT considers to be a future event (armageddon), then drops back to historical 1918 in vs 45 to 47, only to return (according to WT) to future armageddon once again in vs 48 to 51.

  Its more plausible that the whole discussion relates to a single future event at armageddon.

  This means the "coming" hasnt happened yet, so the FDS have not yet been appointed over all the masters belongings.

  Starting to read 1984 by Orwell

  i bought the book for a number of reasons:.

  1. it sounds brill.. 2. it sounds like the kind of people who read are rather clever and well educated (and i want to be one of them).. 3. i may find it interesting how it relates to the jws.. regarding the latter, does anyone have any thoughts and feeling on this point, or is there anything i should look out for when comparing what orwell writes about with the jws?.

  Zamyatin's 'We' was the inspiration for Orwells 1984.

  If you want to read them in sequence I suggest you start with the Russian. Some prefer his version.
