  for people who already are bedazzled by the current stream of information about watchtower / jw.org real estate planning, renovation and the emergency stop on the building programma called out, i found today that the renovation design of the (impressive!

  ) toledo buildings for the watchtower real estate staff, is designed by a state of the art designer.

  Summary of "Imitate Jehovah" convention

  this is just a brief summary of the convention this past weekend at the ah in la feria, tx .

  attendance was 1100 and 9 baptized, two of them very young.

  the elder that gave the baptism speech let out that the day before there was 6 baptisms.

  I went down in the first Round!

  there is a visitor brother in town and from what ive been told, he has been a missionary for many years and they were having a get together for him.

  i took my mom to that get-together yesterday and stayed for a few minutes.

  i heard a group around a table with the visitor brother talking about how hard it was getting in the world with so many distractions and that many of the brothers were falling into the trap and leaving jehovahs organization.

  Huge project, poor planning, poor choices, volunteer workers, what could possibly go wrong?

  I knew a brother who was the Health and Safety officer at an assembly hall build.

  He told me how they had to balance some ladders on bricks to get it high enough for one job.

  I asked him why he didn't stop them, seeing as it was unsafe.

  He said he was told not to be too nit-picky about it.

  definitely something going in the london bethel.. i thought i'd ask them again (and record it again) what the situation was regarding the new britain branch construction work.. i got the same sister (debbie) and here is how the conversation went: .

  me: i've been told that construction of the new branch has been stopped - is this true?.

  debbie: no, it has not ceased, it's carrying on as normal - can i ask where you're calling from?.

  With 1,732 JW victims identified by the Royal Commission, at $65,000 AUS per victim, that comes to $113 million Australian dollars (£50 million GBP or $80 million USD).

  That's before any admin costs etc. and relates purely to historical Australian cases.

  Any of these (or new) cases taken to court will incur more costs and potentially higher compensation per victim.

  a good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.

  the person who took the video got really close and the video clearly shows that the flag is behind the glass and behind the bars protecting the kingdom hall.

  Need Help with Blood Transfusion Illustration

  please, who can provide an intelligent rebuttal to the following illustration?

  i always thought it was bullet-proof:.

  "if your doctor directs you to 'abstain from alcohol' would you be ok to have it injected into your veins rather than drink it?

  If a doctor told you to abstain from eating meat, would it be OK to have a liver transplant? Of course it would.

  This is also why strict vegetarians would accept an organ transplant, they recognise that it is not eating meat.

  The WT example breaks down when you accept that a blood transfusion does not 'nourish' you as they claim, like eating blood does. Otherwise a starving man could be kept alive with transfusions, which we know cannot happen.
