First thoughts on "new" meeting...

had a quick look at the workbook and flicked through the sample meeting video.. the increased use of video shows the trend for more centralised dissemination of "best practice" .

sure there isn't really a "school" any more and the format is a bit different but i think those that called it as the same old crap just in new package got it pretty much right.

I think that's to make the Dec KM fill four pages.

If the first week of Dec was in the Nov KM then there would be a full blank page at the end of December's.

You can count your time from the moment the mall opens until it shuts, and still take contributions.

that was today's topic over a group chat of my cong's young jbots.

apparently the rumors are circulating everywhere i go, even people from the spanish congs are talking about it.

what's really sad is that the majority of people are already seeing this as "clear" signs of the end coming.

Excitement for The End is the default, knerjerk reaction for those who have been told their whole lives that the end is coming soon.

The moment there is anything newsworthy or any organisation change, desperation to justify a lifetime of disappointment, the need for social acceptance and self-reinforcement of a flaky faith cause them to break out in these pitiable exclamations.

An earthquake, a war, a new president, global warming, a new bible, Bethels closing. They ache for validation of their beliefs and obsessively see The End in every innocuous event.

It's a sad, sad thing to behold because it will only ever lead to more disappointment and more desperation.

Are Circuit Overseers next?

last year saw the elimination of the district overseer...and circuit overseers now must retire at 70. how long until the circuit overseer is no more?

of course, the role might still exist, they would simply not get paid.

they would have to care for their own expenses.

SP's get a monthly allowance depending on their location and if they are married.

I read recently that in USA it's $900pm for a couple, and in the UK I have a very hazy recollection it's £300pw for a couple, although don't quote me on it because it's probably wrong.

They have to find their rent, bills and food etc. out of that.

Once you move from SP to Reg Pio you lose all of that because you are no longer classed as 'representing the organisation'.

i look for every way to make my 5 minute talks devoid of wt flavor.

i try to be positive -talk about god's love for humanity.

In one of my talks I expounded on the need for a good education.

The WT overseer came up afterwards and said how much he enjoyed the talk.

Can the special pioneers, bethelites, and many other "servants", who are getting their benefits stripped, SUE THE WTBS?

i know in america, corporations, and businesses, are many times obligated to atleast continue certain medical benefits for an extended period of time, like a year or two, even after they are "let go".

i wonder how many older, special pioneers, missionarys, bethelites, and such, have pre-existing medical conditions, and need to have to continue their benefits for care?.

the wts, can send a letter saying " sorry your shits gone in 3 months", but is this really legal?

I thought there was a legal case in Spain when the bethel was shut (not too long after being built) and all the bethelites were turfed out?

I seem to recall there's a law there that obligated the WT to pay a 'pension' to them.

bethelites news news betheliteson friday 50 brothers and sisters at bethel bethelites argentina, took their last breakfast together before heading out to their congregations.the bethel own patterson, new york, an undetermined number of bethelites that they were notified had a week to leave bethel and become regulate pioneers in their congregations.a couple of brothers they sold us everything told they had to go to work where there was more need.

a couple of months left to work on construction projects of kingdom halls in needy countries ago.

they have been told it is over.that's how fast things are changing toward the end.we are on the verge of incredible things, so any change is not surprising.is our lord faithful and discreet slave receiving instructions regarding the next future?
