ZO Talk in Japan - Part Deux

you might remember last weekend i posted up some info from my friend that had the opportunity to attend the zone overseer talk in japan.

well today my friend forwarded me this little gem.

Nealy all witnesses in Japan heard his talk

by connecting every assembly hall and

some local kingdom halls to the main stadium.

He mentioned that Japanese witnesses had declied for this ten years.

He implied that inactive publishers in Japan will not be saved.

His conclusion is based upon Matthew 24:13,14.

His theory is :

Mt24:13 "he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved"

+

Mt24:14 "good news will be preached.. then the end will come"

=

"inactive JW will not be saved"

Japanese witnesses well understood what he wanted to say.

"PREACH OR DIE!".

His talk sounds awful.

Rumor : Elders' meeting about pedophilia issues

hi everyone, there is a rumor on a french speaking forum saying that the elders were to assist to a 9 h meeting,yesterday or today depending on availability, about pedophilia exclusively.

meeting directed by an circuit overseer.

I heard that No abuse policy letter was sent to Japanese elders from Japan branch last year.

Whereas all american elders received October 1, 2012 BOE letter.

Which means abuse policy is different country to country??

I remember October 1, 2012 BOE letter said "TO ALL BODY OF ELDERS".

I wonder "TO ALL BODY OF ELDERS" does not always mean "TO ALL BODY OF ELDERS WORLDWIDE".

Very confusing.

10 Years Japan losses 5,400 Publishers and 638 Kingdom Halls! Why?

japan had a handful of witnesses after ww 2....this number skyrocketed to 222,912 by 1998!

then something happened.

publisher figures didn't stop, they dropped by thousands over the next decade!.

That's the exactly what many young Japanese had thought.

Now they suddenly or gruadually come to see the reality.

I must say generation teaching changed has indirect effect not direct impact.

I'm from Japan

It seems that the impact of " generation teaching change" was huge for them.

The effects are gradual but obvious.

And "Overlapping generation" doctrine may cause distrust for many.

It is unbelievable that "Overlapping generation" were voted by 2/3 GB members.

Each word is very easy, but the nuance and what he wanted to say is unclear.

Anyone explain what Clifford wanted to say in English?

I supporse it was a just irony like " pious with ignorance tends to injure people ", am I right?

Thank you for your reply.

Now I understand there is no written rule

concerning separate seat arrangement.

It is likely there are exceptions when

spouse or other family members are "faithfull".

Df'd sit down next to them.

They may take a role of "probation officer".

It might be in "Kingdom Ministry" or other member only publication.

I want to know how this custom was introduced in the past.

Its hard to believe it is just like a "Oral Law"

I am from Japan. I have noticed several times in Japan

DisfellowShipped person who attends a meeting

is required to be seated at a "special seat".

That seat is separated from ordinal seats and

located mostly back of the hall.

Its something like "probation seat".

My question is :

Is this standard custom among J.W.?

or Just like "local rule" ?

If this is a standard custom,

Is there any written direction in Watchtower publication?
