off the top of my head i would say that it is rooted in an older(purer) religious dogma like buhdism. that all things are harmonic and in balance and got twisted into perfection for perfection, so far as to filling in variables with gods reincarnating themselves and suffering to atone for us horrible and destructive creatures.

by AGuest infor me, it's a "liquid plum'r deep impact" commercial that just sets my teeth on edge.
in it, the (mousey looking) "housewifey" woman (who is obviously married to an impotent tyrant and has about 8 kids) is in the grocery store, holding a bottle of the product, while fantasizing about the two guys who come to "snake the drain" and "flush the pipe, baby"... to a barry white-ish voice narration.
now, i have no problem with some woman fantasizing about some hunks... and given the success of the romance novel industry i would be a fool to think bored housewives are among these.

Stronger Christian presence on JWN?
by Christ Alone ini've only been a member here for a short time, but it seems like there are more christians on the board lately.
for the first few months that i was on jwn, it appeared that there were very few that argued in favor of a creator and belief in the bible in particular.
there seems to be several more that have recently joined...or at least posted more regularly regarding belief.

is the type of typical response we are trying to avoid - debate the issue, don't make it personal ..angharad
my post did sound insulting, all apologies. i was saying i like the back and forth between believers and non. it helps me recognize certain patterns of thinking that i used to display and try not to fall back into. i tend to stay out of the personal stuff and wouldnt expect anyone to agree with me.
so i dig hearing from christians and especially jw apologists. peace mon.

ive noticed it a little bit. probably because this is a hot bed of non believers. it gives jesus freaks a chance to try out their recruiting and fairy tale reasoning skills annonymosly. which is how i wish i could have done it. i have no problems with that.

NC, i got what you were saying. i would check out zoso if the opportunity arose. but what im saying is that there is no reason you should not get a chance to see zepplin. when 90% of the world wants to see you in concert, no other project really matters. even the WHO still tour, perform, and ROCK. tho townshend cant windmill anymore... probably arthritis.

and nc, anyone can learn a song that has already been composed. it is just not the same. not an awfull version but stairway is consistantly on all top 10 lists of greatest rock songs. a copy just doesnt have the feel or the understanding of the composer.

man i agree completely with mr freeze. zep needs to deliver to the fans who have kept them in the cd player. and those fans want a chance to see led zepplin. trust me when i say that the chilli peppers dont need JPJ. to stop performing to be as good as the peppers have always been. come to think of it, to hell with jethro tull and pink floyd and all of the bands who think they are too good to grace us with their over priced concerts. american bands cater to the fans... willie nelson, still rocking... jerry lee lewis, still rocking...ZZ top, C.C.R. even eminem. but the who and the stones rocked too.

So, I had a thought about wicked spirits lately...
by sd-7 inthe whole reason i even got dragged into this jw stuff, and we didn't just become somebody's return visit they never came back on, is because my mom claimed that the demons were talking to her.
they told her that the jws knew the truth about them, so she called the local kingdom hall.
bible study was started, and that was that.
