"Missy"?? Are you related to Rex, by any chance? You show the same bull-headed blind approach to issues you can't/don't understand, so I must wonder.
Don't try and take the intellectual high ground with me, Missy! It'll only end in sensitive weeping!I can understand your reluctance, however, a good bout of weeping might be just the thing for you. Don't be afraid, let it out, it's okay to cry.
"compassion-ate"? Is that some sort of sexual innuendo, or am I failing to get your point? As most of your points have been merely obstreperous empty rhetoric, it's not difficult to see how I might fail to 'get it'.
Regards,
Dana

Expat,
Again with respect, altho I noticed you didn't offer me the same courtesy, I feel I have to respond to your offensive comments.
Your attitude is precisely the type of emasculatory penis-envy that has resulted in the denigration of men over the past few decadesIt's interesting to me that men with a deep rooted animosity towards women (could it be fear-based?) always seem to feel threatened by women who challenge men to openly express their emotional side. "Emasculatory penis-envy"...any self respecting therapist could have a field day with those words, all by themselves. How exactly is it emasculatory for a man to actually admit, much less express, his true feelings?
As for 'the denigration of men'...give me a break!! Even if that were true, I'd say women have a few THOUSAND years of dominating men coming to them, based on the degradation, oppression, and subjugation they've experienced at the hands of men for most of recorded history. Typical for a man who probably lives in an emotional wasteland to accuse an outspoken woman of being a man bashing feminist.
Good day to you,
Dana

Expat,
With all due respect, and considering that I view you as a friend, I must say that I think your comments are in very bad taste. You obviously need to get a clue; perhaps some therapy would help? That's a bloody pig-headed, neanderthal approach to take, especially as several of us opened up and revealed heart-felt needs and desires. But then, judging from your response, perhaps I shouldn't expect such an 'emotional' argument to reach you?
Sincerely,
Dana
i've been thinking about people i used to know as a jw, back in the bad ol' days.
anyway, i'm wondering if any of you folks are familiar with the selvage family?
i think they originally hailed from the ohio area, although i'm not sure about that.
BTW Tracy....
Did you see this thread?

The reason I'm curious is coz I wanted to see if there are any other people who may know them and if there are any other instances of child abuse, etc. There now, happy??

Geez, I can't believe no one's mentioned breathing yet...that's like my first consideration!!!
Other than that, I'm very attracted to men with a dry and/or goofy sense of humor (matches mine); intelligent but not arrogant; sensitive and compassionate; kind; gentle; dark haired (preferably loooooooonnnnngggg hair, and facial hair goes over very well too!); someone who is natural and is comfortable with me being the same. A guy who is thoughtful enough to surprise me with a flower he picked, a card for no reason, a phone call when I'm least expecting it...someone comfortable enough with his feelings that he doesn't forget to express them...frequently! Did I mention long dark hair??
K, that's just the start of my dream guy; I could go on and on. I guess what I'd like to find is a soul mate but I'm not sure such a thing exists but hey! I'd love to be proven wrong!

thanks for your concern and comments.
when i first went up to the hospital she was just laying there, and would look at you, then close her eyes again.
i had to pick up my daughter's kids from school and and a few other erands.
Hey Ken,
Great news about your granddaughter! It's so awful to see a beloved child in a hospital bed; that picture is so wrong!! Both of my children, when babies and toddlers, spent time in the hospital because of pneumonia and my heart always ached to see them so sick and small. I'm so very glad to hear that little Emily is feeling better and how wonderful for her to have a grandfather like you...give her a kiss from all of us

spontaneous and not scripted like they are now.. .

Thanks for the laughs! Paul Lynde was one of my favorite comedians. I remember watching him on the Donny and Marie show. Say, in our feminist society today, do ya think that would now be called the Marie and Donny show?
