Happy New Year from Dana, Justin and Delaney

well, i panicked, i prepared and had excuses ready.
strategies and contingency plans up and running.
i have been awaiting, nay willing my "inactive persons' shepherding call" (whatever) and it hasn't happened yet!.
Rebel,
One of the 'loving' elders (the ringleader who has never liked me) even said I was jeopardising my chances of ever seeing my daughter again. The daughter he was talking about is Claire - she was killed when she was 5 years old
I am speechless and totally disgusted! How low can they sink?? I would never allow that man back in my home!! Good for you for recognizing that as emotional manipulation and I'm so sorry to hear that you lost a precious daughter My mind cannot grasp how painful that must have been and continues to be for you. What a lack of love shown by that elder...and this is shepherding the flock with care????

taming of a beast.
it was back in 1993, the last day of work before christmas.
70 of us were laid off that day (after 6 months notice), and left at lunch, never to go back.

All I can say is Wow! What a lot you've been through...and what a lot you've learned! Thank you for sharing such an intimate piece of yourself with us and I wish you and your wife a very happy 20th anniversary!

Wow, my heart goes out to all of you who are having to deal with this! I'm "officially" DA'd so I don't have to worry about visits, etc., but I can imagine how anxiety-producing it could be. I liked what Patio said and I also thought some of you might benefit from a thread started earlier this year by Expatbrit. It has a lot of good info for people who are trying to fade quietly and actually, I'm a bit surprised it hasn't already been posted. Here's the link: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=34518&site=3
Hope it helps.

i guess i'm a dipshit.
i didn't know about the little white box to the left of your name.
if you click it your posts are gone until it's clicked again.
Gumby, I'm ROFL!! You ignored yourself, hey?? Hahaha, sounds like something I'd do and then wonder why I'd been deactivated. Kudos to you for sharing it with us ...hehehehe...that is just too funny!

Merry Christmas!
I'm currently at my ex's house; we arrived here yesterday evening for an early Christmas dinner (which was fabulous) and then of course, the kids got us up EARLY to open gifts. After breakfast, (homemade Belgian waffles...yum!), the kids and I are driving to my sister's to celebrate with her family and to have another wonderful Christmas dinner! Best part about all of this...I get two three yummy meals and I don't have to cook any of them! Woo-merry-hoo!

here on the pacific coast of australia it's 2:00 am and mrs ozzie and i have just returned from a candle-lit xmas service and it's now christmas day here.
the air conditioners are going flat out and the ocean temperature right now is 22 degrees celsius.
a right royal xmas!
I was dreaming of a white Christmas! Unfortunately, here in the southern part of Florida, we've had only rain and thunderstorms but at least it's cooled off some again and I won't need to wear shorts this xmas. I'm jealous of all of you who have snow today.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Dana (typing to you from Lakeland, FL!)
katie and i are about to head out to the airport, and by 3 pm tomorrow afternoon will be happy husband and wonderful wife!
we would almost certainly never have met each other if not for this forum, where we have both laughed and cried and healed, with and through all of you friends.
from the bottom of our hearts:.

Not many online romances work out, but the few that have that I know of seem to be pretty wonderful. I can't wait to see the wedding pics and I'm sending best wishes for a wonderful wedding and happy holidays!!!
Love,
Dana
well, my husband found out about my affair (yes, i gave in to the temptation with the soccer player and while it was fantastic, it's over now) and it's been a devestating time, we almost got divorced, but we're working through it.
i knew telling friends and this board wasn't going to help me fight his romantic advances, but i tried.
it was a one time thing that would have continued, but i wasn't too careful about the clues (guilty conscience i think).

Sorry to hear that things didn't work out for you both. I know that the ending of a marriage is very painful, more so when children are involved. I hope that, for your own sakes and especially for your kid(s?), you are able to leave any bitterness behind and remain friends. I wish you both well.
