  so my daughter is coming home from uni next week for the easter hols.

  if she said to me i've joined this group that says i have to put them before my family, my health, earning money for food, recreation, getting married and eating.

If she said to me I've joined this group that says I have to put them before my family, my health, earning money for food, recreation, getting married and eating. What would I say? Oh no you've joined a cult! Is it the Moonies?

  Yet that is what the JWs are going to be told at their convention this Summer.

  I know lots of people have posted about the program for the 2014 conventions that's on JW.org now but I just have to say if you are lurking here I would tell my daughter to run a mile from any group that says these things.

  Jesus is his earthly name, Michael is his heavenly name

  i know this topic has been discussed before on this forum, but as it goes in jw world we need reminders.. co said in his last talk i can't remember the title in speaking about jesus, that when jesus returned to heaven he resumed his name michael.

  jesus was his earthly name.. through the entire rest of the bible after his ressurection not one reference is made about this.

  case in point----when jesus oh wait michael pulled saul over and talked to him, he introduced his self as jesus.

  Troubling experience at 1 day assembly re: little jw child

  just had my 1day assembly this weekend.

  an experience given by the bethel speaker was quite troubling and shows how jw's live in constant paranoia, anxiety and they isolate themselves from normal living.. a first grade class was having a fire drill.

  everyone ( except one) lined up and stood outside away fron the classroom in the grass.

  What if there had been a real fire? Children being taught not to trust their teachers. You're right, so bad for kids. My daughter loved school and loved most of her teachers, now she's at uni doing great. I on the other hand, a born in JW, hated school, no surprises there. Those poor children.

  Mmm well I can't see any news items yet about it but there may be, people do like to send photos in to newspapers. It was three hours after sunset so I don't know what caused it but very pretty pink/red clouds.

  How The Governing Body's Jealous Imaginary Friend/Corporation Sock Puppet Is Really Screwing Up Their Decision Making Capacity As CEOs Of The Watchtower Corporation

  look at the recent videos that this bunch of old out of touch with reality governing body has spent time and money(corporation assets) on.

  telling the deaf how disqusting jehovah finds looking at you masterbate(clearly a sign of some sort of childish magical thinking) and the one where they throw a little tots gift toy in the garbage because jehovah(corporation's sock puppet) don't like magic, making the the poor kid feel like he will shrivel up and die of old age like adam & eve did at 900+ years old, if he don't hurry up and get rid of that cheap plastic wizzard toy that might perhaps be demonized or something.. i'm telling you guy these guys are trapped into making bad decision because of this imaginary friend.

  expect much more in the way of infantile decision making from these delusional individuals.

  I loved the idea of living forever in paradise. I loved the idea that God was going to feed the hungry, end painful illnesses, end wars and give everyone a roof over their heads. I was young and I knew nothing about the world because I was discouraged from reading and my parents had little formal education.

  The elders (so my husband told me) just fought one another for power in their meetings. My husband, when he was made an elder thought they would be talking about how to help the brothers who were ill or depressed! Not at all they were too busy fighting to visit the sick and they just dismissed the brothers who were depressed as nutters.

  Panthers, I pioneered for ten years and my husband pioneered for fifteen. At one point I told the CO I might have to stop because I was so ill. He got his wife to work with me in FS and encourage me to continue. I told her I was tired all the time. She said 'I'm tired, the CO is tired, we're all tired but we just have to keep going.' That was over thirty years ago Panthers, goodness knows how tired they are now waiting for that New System. You are young, you don't know what's really going on in this religion. If you care about truth then why don't you read Crisis of Conscience and see what happened in Brooklyn Bethel in the eighties? The truth can't hurt you can it?
