Has the Royal Commission website removed Geoffery Jackson from schedule?
by Indian Larry inearlier this morning the royal commission website stated:.
"the royal commissions public hearing into the jehovahs witnesses will recommence in sydney on friday 14 august 2015 at 11:00am.. it is anticipated that the hearing will hear from one witness, mr geoffrey jackson, a member of the governing body of jehovahs witnesses.
"now that has been changed.

Still says he is anticipated to be heard. If you go to :-www.childabuseroyalcommission.gov.au and on the home page it gives latest news. Click on JWs and it still says he will be the only witness to appear on Friday 14 August. -

Atacrossroads and Tornintwo I think you are both incredibly brave women. I don't have any advice because I had such a different experience but I just wanted to wish you well on your journeys. -

Thankful for jehovahs-witness.com
by jw07 ini'm still 'in' and this website is the only thing that's been keeping me sane for a long while.. knowing that i'm not alone, the success stories, and the constant update of breaking news that provides hope such as the exposure of the organisation at the hands of the royal commission makes me happy while i'm stuck in this dark hole.
that's so especially today when i'm dealing with a sht storm of personal issues and the pretending that everything is fine is just rubbing pepper into my wounds.
i'm thankful for this website and all you beautiful people.

I thought this thread from two years ago was interesting. This poster claims that Vincent Toole was a circuit overseer that the WTS in Australia sent to law school, paid for it, then appointed him as head of the legal department.

Mandatory reporting and misprision
by Xanthippe inday 7 of the australian royal commission has chair justice peter mcclellan raising the point that i have been wondering about all along, which is, how can these elders not report child abuse to the authorities especially when a full confession has taken place?.
justice mcclellan asked toole, the wts's lawyer, if he is aware that there is a difference between an organisation being required to have mandatory reporting of child abuse to the authorities and misprision which is the concealment of a felony, itself a criminal offence?
toole says he is aware of it now but he wasn't before!

I've been noticing on the forum the last couple of days that poster's quotes from Australian newspapers are really highlighting the misprision of the Australian branch and congregations, deliberately concealing crimes against children.
Australian journalists have really picked up on this that in some states and New South Wales in particular where the Branch is, all individuals have an obligation to report child abuse or risk being guilty of a criminal offence themselves.
It's about time this gross disrespect both for law and for children' safety was brought into the glare of public and official scrutiny.

25 video CLIPS of Australia Royal Investigation into Jehovah's Witnesses

Thank you Watchtower Free. With the first clip, I remember this, but I am shocked looking at it again and coming to the conclusion that the ARC has no trust whatsoever in the GB. Stewart even suggests obliquely that Jackson's father's illness may be a sham. This guy really has done his research hasn't he? He wants proof for everything they say now.
Somehow it cheers me up enormously to find that well educated legal minds don't trust the leaders of this religion as far as they can throw them

If nothing else, this is demonstrating that even the highest-ranked WT reps really are "True Believers". - Vidiot
I'm not sure this is true. As I've mentioned before the Divine Right of Kings in Europe five hundred years ago gave religious authority to monarchs and as we know the most terrible atrocities resulted. Did they really believe they were ruling by divine right? Who knows, but it gave them tremendous power and who wants to give up that kind of power to bow to laws made in a democracy?
'The divine right of kings or divine right is a political and religious doctrine of royal and political legitimacy. It asserts that a monarch is subject to no earthly authority, deriving the right to rule directly from the will of God. The king is thus not subject to the will of his people, the aristocracy, or any other estate of the realm, including (in the view of some, especially in Protestant countries or during the reign of Henry VIII of England) the Catholic Church. According to this doctrine, only God can judge an unjust king. The doctrine implies that any attempt to depose the king or to restrict his powers runs contrary to the will of God and may constitute a sacrilegious act. It is often expressed in the phrase "by the Grace of God," attached to the titles of a reigning monarch.'

Only God can judge an unjust king. What does that remind you of - wait on Jehovah.

There is likely to be two parts to Geoffrey Jackson's Subpeona
by Listener inwe've been focusing on the fact that geoffrey jackson will be subpoenaed to be a witness at the australian royal commission but he will also be required to present a witness statement before his appearance.
even if he continues to wiggle out of the appearance he has no excuse for not presenting his witness statement.. this statement will have to address questions set out by the commission and will need to be answered.
without doubt the answers he is able to be aided by his lawyers and more 'experienced' jws but as he is signing the document they will be his answers and he will be responsible for their truthfulness.. had he shown more willingness to appear prior to yesterday the questions asked by the commission in that statement would not have been written with the same amount of insight that they now have.
