This is an example of misleading evidence
Crikey, sorry Sir, I got my essay in on time at least. Slim is having fun and I was posting in the same spirit.
no facts about the world are absolutely certain.
that being the case i wonder how others would rank amd rate their confidence in various factual statements about the world.
i am going to rate my confidence in ten items of "knowledge" as a percentage.

19. Decapitation always results in death to the victim.
I'm 100% certain of this fact. I've seen decapitation footage and they all end up dead. come across no evidence that someone has survived being decapitated.
Slimboyfat and everyone else, please respond.
The other day I actually came across the source of the phrase running around like a headless chicken. Now I would have said that was bollocks a while back.

Well I just read what nVR2L8 wrote. He spoke to Mouthy on the phone and she said she lost interest in debating on the Internet, so I'm not sure why you're still arguing with me. Have a great evening, VI, I'm going to watch a favourite movie of mine, Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. So party on dude and be excellent to one another.

this came up in another thread and i wondered if any one else thought this way while they were still in..... - that it is actually better not to preach as people who don't hear "the truth" are said to be given a resurrection rather than the poor saps who refused a paltry magazine and now merit everlasting destruction..
yeah, i was mean.
could it be that i was not encouraged to have non-jw's as friends, so i viewed them as insignificant?
could it be that i found it difficult to live up to "christian standards" and took it out on others?
I think my daughter is kinder and more altruistic than I am. She grew up in our atheistic family. I believe in giving to charity and I think altruism is real, I'm not cynical about it but she of her own initiative joined Kiva as a teenager to lend small amounts of money to people in the third world to start businesses.
She allows people she meets longer than I do to show what they are really like. I tend to get fed up and give up more quickly with people. So I suppose a religious background has made me more judgemental. I tend to keep people more at arms length than she does.
Really when I don't give up on people because I can't, like at work, I find people are many-faceted and I see sides to them I didn't expect. Kindness when I was ill or willingness to cooperate when things are tough at work. I'm still learning about people, stuff my daughter probably knows instinctively because she's been allowed to mix with all different types of people all her life.
so, i'll go first.. i dreamt last night that i was still at uni, i said goodbye to one of my lecturers.
then ulrika jonsson (former weather girl, shooting stars captain, and swedish nymphomaniac) gave me a lift home in her car - wtf?!
she kept trying to change the cd whilst trying to drive (reaching on the floor, looking for a cd).
