Thanks pixel and JWFacts also. You can see how they gradually are leading up to the overlapping nonsense. Seems to me they thought of it back in '95 but had a long term plan to sneak it up on the R+F without them noticing. By all accounts they have succeeded with a lot of them. As for the rest, they ended up here. -

I like the Pyrenees but further east, Languedoc-Roussillon area. Fantastic scenery, wonderful wine, great restaurants. We stayed in a beautiful gite I found in the Times and the owner told us about the Cathare castles in the area, amazing citadels built high up almost on mountain crags that the cathares escaped to in the twelfth century when the Pope declared their beliefs heretic.
They were all starved out and burnt of course. Isn't religion wonderful. They were interesting though. They believed men and women were equal, were vegetarians and believed in reincarnation even though they were Christians. Sort of East meets West.

edited to add: Actually Xanthippe, although the long held explanation was dropped in 1995 the overlapping crap wasn't brought out until 2010. There were two or three other crappy explanations in between! - Freddo
So what were the two or three other explanations Freddo? Anybody?

Some thoughts on guilt.
by New day inhad an interesting conversation with my wife recently.
she struggles with physical, emotional and psychological problems which have often caused her to miss meetings.
she mentioned how she is equally tortured by guilt if she misses meetings and ministry, and severe stress if she does them.

New Day, SSRI meds take about three weeks to start working. They help the serotonin build up in the brain. If she is severely depleted it will take time. I am so sorry for you both, I had it for five years. Rest and taking care of herself will help. A good diet, fresh air, exercise, stress reduction and sleep. The problem is the chemical imbalance will make her feel that she is not worthy of taking care of herself, she needs to realise her brain is working against her. My heart goes out to you both. -

Did you participate in a Drama?
by Hecce ini am bringing this up because even it was a lot of work, for the majority of the friends this was a rewarding experience.
camaraderie, joking, costumes, props and when the time came the celebrity status of being in the drama.. back in the 50s and 60s, conventions could be as long as 8 days and from about 1966 the dramas became an integral part of the program.
we had one per day and the brothers looked forward to their presentation.

Yes I was in a drama. A modern day one at a football ground in front of 10,000. Lots of rehearsals. -

Guilt can be a sign of clinical depression. It's a common symptom of low serotonin. The chemical imbalance comes first, you feel guilty and then your brain looks for reasons why you are feeling guilt. Prolonged stress depletes the body of serotonin. Rest and reducing stress will help if that's what's happening to your wife. -

The restaurant at the end of the universe
by Xanthippe ini sat outside at a cafe with my cappuccino for the first time today.
the sky was blue, the birds were singing, i could hear a woodpecker in the tall trees.
i closed my eyes and felt the sun on my face for the first time in months and i thought, i could sit here until the end of time.

Yes, the motto here is if you don't like the weather, wait a minute, it will change.
I thought that was only life in England, SafeAtHome.
Today it is high of 42
Well 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything. 😀

So what came between the '1914 generation will see the new system' doctrine which finished in 1995 and the indefinite overlapping generations rolled out in 2010? -

What about all the other innocent people the Romans crucified? What is the significance of that, apart from a dominant power striking fear into all dissenters, or anyone who got their attention.
