Tal I just don't know what to make of that vid. So much on youtube, I don't know. If it was April 1st I would know what is going on. Baffled. What do you think?

Plants Talk to Eachother
by Satanus inso, i put this under 'social' ;) they aren't exactly sure how.. .
' having a neighborly chat improves seed germination, finds research in biomed central's open access journal bmc ecology.
even when other known means of communication, such as contact, chemical and light-mediated signals, are blocked chilli seeds grow better when grown with basil plants.

Hey Julia glad you're having a good, relaxing time. Thanks for reminding me how my life used to be 20 or so years ago. Feeling guilty over not witnessing to people at the shops, I'd forgotten that. Just to be able to be normal with people. Yeah you're right, it takes the stress out of life. Weekends seem to go on forever don't they? Enjoy!

SAD talk, a CLEAN consceince VS a CLEAR conscience. Such dubspeak
by Wasanelder Once ini was informed by a witness that there was a "wonderful talk" at the sad this week.
it was about a clear conscience as opposed to a clean conscience.
a clear conscience is no proof of god's approval because one my not feel condemned by thier actions due to a faulty perspective.
-
Xanthippe
So a CLEAN conscience comes from knowing and accuragely doing God's will.
In other words you can only have a clean conscience if you do exactly what we tell you. You cannot rely on your feeling that your conscience is clear because you are mindless scum.
I think its semantics and a bunch of random crap.
Yes but also more mind-control.

When I went to the pioneer school a very long time ago there was a chapter in the book on faith. I was very interested because I had always struggled with the concept. After the chapter had been discussed we broke for coffee and I said to the person sitting next to me, 'so we believe because we want to believe?' I was only nineteen but that is how the discussion came over to me. I was being deadly serious. Do you know what she said, she jokingly called me an apostate!
So I don't believe in anything without evidence anymore. There has to be some evidence to make me look at anything. I still don't understand the concept of faith I'm afraid.

Truth or Treat ?
by snare&racket inhow does it feel to be a jw in2013?
seriously, i imagine it to be quite a strain, a tiring experience.
one of doubt and constant inner turmoil.

Yes I believed every word of it too but it has become a religion, a belief for comfort, social contacts and rituals. Not to mention feeling superior to others, always a bonus.

Yes I have found the recent research on brain plasticity very encouraging.
I like wolves and I do have a painting of a wolf on my wall. It's not a fantasy painting, I know the ones you mean, this is just a wolf.

Beautiful painting Jgnat. Do you paint fantasy art?
I learned to live in the moment to survive terrible things but when life gets better there is a tendency to revert to former bad habits of fretting about the past and worrying about the future. I shall persevere with it because I know it works, it seals you off from the pain of things you cannot change and helps you enjoy sensory pleasure and the simple joys of each moment.

Husband has joined me in being inactive.
by Julia Orwell inthat's right, and it's great!
i don't know exactly why because he hasn't turned apostate and still seems to believe jw things.
i don't feel comfortable in asking him why he doesn't go to meetings anymore for some reason, or find out what he believes and if the things i've told him bout ttatt influenced his decision.

That's good news Julia, the mind-control just starts to slip away if it isn't reinforced on a weekly basis. Well done, don't question him, just chill.
