Reality is hard to cope with but crazy religious ideas of removing everything difficult and painful from our life experience is not the answer. Mental health is the answer, which is the ability to cope with human life and whatever it throws at you. Strengthen that and there is no need to wrap yourself in the cotton wool of religious ideas of perfect happiness. -

You Are Unsuitable!
by Divergent intoday's text -.
sunday, january 24. they collected the fine ones into containers, but the unsuitable they threw away.—matt.
13:48.. understanding the lesson of this illustration helps us to avoid being overly distraught or disappointed if a bible student or one of our children does not make the truth his own.

Oh yeah I am definitely unsuitable for a crazy cult with uneducated idiots telling me how to live my life. If people are suited to that good luck to them but it ain't for me.
Edit: nobody is suited to living like that. I wish they would all realise that they are suited to 21st century living and they are capable of living independent lives. Just stop being afraid people. There are good people out here who care.

My First CLAM Meeting
by The Searcher ini carried out my monthly "cover" visit to the k.h.
tonight.
as previously discussed on this forum, the clam meeting is just a rehashed, recycled, reshuffled, & rebranded ministry school and service meeting.

he was getting frustrated and he said " come on people there's tons of answers
here". - BigdummyWhat a weird thing to say! Normally in a presentation of any kind, a speaker asks for comments or questions. These guys ask for 'answers' meaning read something out of the Borg book or magazine you are holding. Not a cult then?!
No wonder you thought do people in JW Ville do any thinking of their own. It is not allowed, just find your answers in the paragraph, brothers and parrot it back to me. Those that do think obviously keep it to themselves and quietly leave.

Would a loving creator give humans the gift of free will?
by Heisenberg inthey say ignorance is bliss... well, i wish that god did not give adam free will.
i am ok to not have free will if it means i will live forever in perfect paradisiac conditions.it has been explained that free will is a gift from god.

POI, I cannot bear even to think about such things -let alone watch a video! God will have to provide reasons one day
fisherman, if you don't mind me saying you need to get your hands away from your eyes and take a long hard look at reality. There are millions of people who not only have to think about violence and evil, they have to live with it every day. Men women and children.
There are thousands of people and many organisations trying to lessen suffering and get people out of terrible war zones, stinking prisons and torture chambers. It's no good hiding and waiting for God. Get up and help. Be part of the solution.

I own that I cannot see as plainly as others do, and as I should wish to do, evidence of design and beneficence on all sides of us. There seems to me too much misery in the world. I cannot persuade myself that a beneficent and omnipotent God would have designedly created the Ichneumonidae with the express intention of their feeding within the living bodies of Caterpillars, or that a cat should play with mice. - Charles Darwin in a letter to Asa Gray (1860)

They are reinforcing in the minds of the r+f that doctrine doesn't matter, we keep getting it wrong anyway, just keep love bombing the lonely, the desperate and the depressed. -

“There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine in yourself. It is the only true guide you will ever have. And if you cannot hear it, you will all of your life spend your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls.” - Howard Thurman
So true Mark. We need to listen to our own true feelings now as we learn new things. Always ask yourself, does this feel right? Or does it contradict something I have already proved to myself to be correct. Never again be fooled by shiny buildings, smart suits, Greek words :) or arrogant swaggering of any kind. Let the reader beware. Nobody is going to pull my strings again! -

Beautiful pictures thank you FTS. These sculptures amaze me every year. Harbin is a bitterly cold place to live though, brrrr! -

It's funny because I was the obedient sort who always wore my badge. Yet I work in a public library now and when a manager tried to get staff to wear badges saying 'Here to Help' a couple of years ago I spoke up and said you may find you're infringing people's human rights trying to force them to wear something on their person that is not necessary for health and safety. She backed down. Don't mess with me now, I'm not a thick twit anymore. -

Are You Raising An Introvert?
by darth frosty inits not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.
it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.
this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

You're the Healer. Healers are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, Healers have an inner flame that can be harnessed for magic. The Healer introvert type is a shaman to his or her tribe. You carry within you the ability to understand problems and connect to the root cause on a deep level. You're naturally spiritual and find it easy to access the spirit world. You have incredible potential to do good. The world needs you!
