i had started a topic like this a few months ago but i thought it might be usefull to ask you again.
i really need advise from persons who live in the following countries: usa, canada, uk.
australia.
Yes you end up with debt, but you also end up with a radically different life- money earning potential, status, interests.
Dont be afraid of the debt, it is the best investment you can make in yourself.
And look at the investment of time this way- six years of your life will pass one way or another- you can finish the six years with opportunities you could never have had before, or finish the six years qualified for the same types of jobs you have now.
You need to get specific with your research, call admissions in schools of interest in the USA and Canada and ask them if they would accept your Romanian BSc for entry into the MA program.

Hi!
Good for you for asking.
First of all- what country do you want to live in long term. If you want to live in the US, it would be best to go to school in the states. Its true that many degrees dont transfer so well internationally.
Any of the career options you mention are fine, but because you are all over the place I would recommend taking a few personality tests that tell you what kind of work you might find fulfilling or have an aptitude for. One such test in the Meyers Briggs Inventory. Also, you are a bit young but maybe you could go shadow some of the professionals you are interested in becoming. This means you follow them around for a day and see what its like. Its up to you to take the inititive there but it is your life so its worth it.
The good news is any four year degree (BA) will likely require as much as two years of general coursework outside of your major so you have a little room to figure things out in your first year.
As an international student, access to financial aid may be your first hurdle. See if you can find a school that will work with you on the cost. Hopefully all your test scores are top notch. When I first went to college I didnt understand how important it is to go to the best school you possibly can. A better school will have more opportunities, more connections, and you will learn more. It is worth going into debt for a better school.
I think if you want to become a doctor go for it. Dont worry about not working right away, when you do begin working as a doctor you will be making more money than the others. Dont listen to pessimists! Good for you! Go for it!
after three years i dusted off my bible put on my sunday suit and walked door-to-door in the glorious morning sun for 90 minutes solid (no breaks--old-school).
' i always felt some subtle compulsion to do this, i don't know why.
it was not for subterfuge or causing trouble.
Wowee you talked to more people in one morning than I ever talked to at all.
i think i am going to have to change my name to screwthesystem.
i just couldn't take it anymore.
knowing full well what would happen.....i let my fil know how i felt about the organization.
i the YMCA
part 3 (which is where the actual meeting begins) is finished.
it took my computer hours and hours to render and upload it!!
anyway, this is what i just posted on my youtube channel:.
Here is a suggestion: pull out a couple of 2-4 min clips and post them separately- choose a part with some real gems.
I cant watch the whole thing and I bet other people might also be discouraged by the lengthiness of this.
we got a letter from my mother-in-law today (3 hand-written pages).
i will type it for you and hope that you can help me reply to it.
this is the whole letter exactly.. first a little background.
This same thing- mother types saying I failed you has come up for me a lot recently.
Its nonsense, and also selfish. Such a statement does not acknowledge your autonomy as an adult. It also makes your actions all about the other person. Are you not capable of making your own decisions and becoming the person you are without the influence of the family and parents. Of course you are! I have no advice for you, but when that nonsense comes up for me I remind my mother of my sucesses and point out she had nothing to do with any of them.
Its cruel but she knows its true, as they tried to prevent me from doing so many things in my life, until I finally broke free.
I am sorry but you have to be clear, at least with yourself- this is manipulative bullshit, and you are an independent person.
good luck with this (this sort of thing is a bit close to home)

umm,
1. Thank you for what you did here. You are brave.
2. watching this put my stomach in knots.
3. 3 against one!
4. You sound reasonable and they try to derail you. Its amazing how afraid they are of the paper in your hand around 24:00.
we all wonder who he is, but he had the full 30min service meeting this week... there were some predictably shocking comments from the congregation, all based around how you cannot possibly give your best to jehovah while coach is screaming for your best, cue scripture: "cannot serve two masters".. of course nobody says that it's just a made up story, nope, guilt the kids out of their dreams why dont ya.

There was a kid when I was growing up- the book study was held at their house- and he got to play football in HS. Not sure how he got away with it but I was pretty sure that meant he was doomed! I think he was a natural athlete, and anyway, some people have talents concentrated in a single area and if you take that away from them they dont shine as bright.
did you ever get the feeling some are really excited to see the world destroyed- going so far as to imagine, gleefully, certain buildings crashing and crumbling down.
of course this imagery is all over the magazines but i noticed some interalize it to the point of going around imagining their whole town in ruins, and then being delighted with the image, feeling righteous etc.
was there ever a building you imagined coming down- or can anyone speak to this peculiar feeling some exhibit where they are getting a real kick out of the impending destruction..
James,
I think Frankie was into designing furniture and lots of other stuff too- light fixtures, window detail, patterns- I guess it was a time when designers did it all and didnt get so specific- GD, ID, arch, etc.. Having read a bit about FLW I think he could be difficult, on the other hand- Ive seen spatially perfect interiors ruined by bad furnishings.
Maybe Franks chair or table went perfectly with the house, and youd be happy to have it. (kinda hoping to see taliesin or fallingwater one day).
In another vein, I remember one of the women in FS identifying a church she thought God was destroy. Sheer boredom.
I feel like the IM Pei glass pyramids at the Louvre would be durable. Maybe light would even shine out of them!
