i've had some serious issues with the faith at the moment, and sexuality is a huge part.
Magotan I seriously wish I could just hang out with you. We would sort this out and you would be on your way to a fabulous, fearless, sex positive, homonormative life.

Once you embrace and love who you are, things will be be so much better than you can even imagine right now. Your parents opinion will be something you accept, but it wont matter to you the way it does now, because you will be FREE.
we have special seating arrangements in my kingdom hall where other families know they are not to go near them!
a trouble making family would intentionally take our seats until we made their life hell by lying about them.
they left our paradise kingdom hall and now i am working on changing the color of our the seats(purple, scarlet) the elders and elderettes will be sitting on.

i came on jwd a year ago tomorrow, having realized that jws were not the truth, quite painfully, on march 29, 2008. i was here within a week, and within 2 months i was officially dad by my congregation.. ever since joining, i have never actually wrote down a comprehensive look at why i left the organization.
what doubts caused me to leave?
why did a gilead grad leave what i once considered so precious?.

so, a good friend of mine, a pentecostal christian, invited me to go to a retreat with her church.
we're the same age-19 years.
we were friends before i became a witness and she was always patient and caring with me especially throughout my arrogant spell as a witness.
lots of religions have music and love!
There is also a lot of music and love outside of religion!!!
i live next to jw neighbors.
i was a jw 1000 miles away over 20 years ago, never here.
as far as i know, nobody here knows i once was, including the neighbors.. so there wouldn't be any reason for them to shun me.
Not a big deal. Why do you need so much attention for such a minor act of kindness.
If you cant do it without applause dont do it.

Normally I would say- if you can handle it- follow your curiosity. Go for ONE day and see what happens. Think critically about your experience.
But with Pentecostals!!! May be a waste of time.

i hope that everyone is still holding on amidst all the struggles.. i know that there are parents, older ones, middle age and younger ones here.. sooo, my question isss- what age did you start dating and what age do you truly believe people should start dating?
and why?.

Guess what- I was NEVER allowed to date.
I snuck around a little, not much, and then developed an entirely secret life.
I left home at 18 so after that I experimented a lot.
I would let my kids date at any age they were interested in someone- with adequate education about sex and contraception of course.
I would encourage them to be honest with me so I knew what they were up to and were in less danger than if they had to keep secrets.

I can relate to everything you are saying (except I dont get how your youtube and facebook page are being snapped by the elders) But anyway.

I had a same sex relationship when I was your age- though it turns out I am notcompletely gay after all. LOL.
While it was fun it was also absolutley terrifying, if anyone found out we would both be disowned! At that time I became very sensitive to the JW attitude towards homosexuality, and I found it very disturbing.
It took me some time to realize that a) sex is not bad, not a sin, and b) sexuality can be fluid, or fixed, but it is a big part of you which you must honor.Its OK to be attracted to whoever you are attracted to. Remember, you are not hurting anyone.
