hi everyone, i have been on here for a little while and haven't introduced myself to you.

i can't tell you how much all of you have helped me sort many things out in my mind.. i was raised in a very good christian home and married my hs sweetheart.

i left home and moved half way across the country with a husband and a brand new baby.

A keyboard confessional...

you guys don't know me, i'm new here.

i'm typing on an iphone (pardon any random weird iphone auto-spell corrections) and could walk home to get to my laptop but i might lose the courage to post what comes to my heart to share right now.

worse and more likely, i'll simply not be able to express what i felt right now... if i wait until i have a proper keyboard.

You are in the Bay Area Bubble, and this is an International forum, where in your first posts you allude to some fame and greatness which you cannot reveal just yet, and being vulnerable- well- your posts are too vague to sound vulnerable.

I have read your stuff and other than your name of God posts with A Guest I cant tell what youre about.

In general- coming to a public forum with grandiosity and then whining about not getting what you need is a put off- and- if you post about religious beliefs- even if its about your dead father- expect some different opinions.

Jesus belongings

what are the belongings that jesus comes back for.

apparently, we were told by one of the elders at bethel who was at the annual meeting in october that the organisation was still not too sure on what those belongings are and that it would be public down the road in their publications.

they figure it would come out in the april watchtower.

Do You Appreciate The Service Of Our Military?

being raised a jehovah's witness, i did not have any appreciation for the military or for veterans.. now, when i see a military person, especially in uniform, i am grateful for their work as well as the fact that they risk their lives for us.. do you appreciate our men and women of the military?.

Oh Yes. My politics aside, the very real personal sacrifices each person in uniform and their family make each day is astounding. They are courageous. And I dont just mean the military, but any offier including police and firemen. I have a great deal of respect for them.

UK House of Commons Vote on Gay Marriage Later Today

the vote could go either way.. only 36% of the british public oppose gay marriage so there is no real political danger to the government.

david cameron is for it but the cabinet is split.. it will be a test for the tories.

are they still the reactionary dinosaurs we think they are?.

Do's and Dont's on debating JWs online

recently i have seen an increase number of former members trying to argue ttatt with jws on youtube, news articles, facebook and public forums.

for the most part, i do not see a lot of vicious or hostile debates when former members are trying to show ttatt, but i have seen some arguments and approaches turn out very ugly, to the point of many face palms.. i remember there were several instances that completely turned me off towards ttatt as a believer because "apostates" would be entirely reprehensible and would fit the bill of what the society termed "mentally diseased".

i cannot fault ones here who have gone on a similar rampage now that i understand how people lose everything and everyone they love.
