  I am struck by the phrase,

  rich spiritual hertiage.

  I have heard this phrase used among my own family, as well as spiritual legacy. It seems ironic to me, given that this religion is less than 150 years old, and other world religions have been in existence for literally thousands of years.

  Who really is to blame for the marriage breakdowns?

  another young couple has bit the dust, in our congregation.

  that's close to 20.. we'll probably hear a special needs talk, and of course the couple will be counselled to get back together, and they are not scripturally free to marry.. comments will be made that it's is the fault of the younger ones, today.

  apparently younger ones are selfish, but, are they?.

  JWs get married to young to know what they re doing, and then are locked into some hormone fueled infatuation with a legal marriage contract.

  If young JWs were allowed to experiement with each other openly, premarital sex, even just unchaperoned dating, people would get to know each other better before tieing the knot- or noose.

  Of all the attractive people I have slept with, I only married one.

  hello, i'm a 17 year old born in and i'm done with this religion.

  i came to the conclusion a year ago that i wanted to leave.

  If you are 17, your freedom is one sweet short year away.

  Get a job, save some money NOW, so you can get out ASAP.

  College, even community college is one way to eascape because you can automatically qualify for a grant of 5000 dollars called the Pell Grant for attending full time.

  This is how I escaped at your age.

  If you are a good liar, you could insinuate that this young man who is studying with you may not be of sound character to your mother. Do it gently, like, he makes me uncomfortable. I dont know why.

  Dont worry about wasting his time, he is COUNTING and probably DOUBLING every second he spends with you on a timesheet.

  Guess what, in the real world, you will work a job, count time, and GET PAID FOR IT.

  Dude you have to make a break for it.

  Sparlock and memories of childhood

  when i was about 6/7 there was a talk that made reference to the violence of teenage mutant ninja turtles.

  when we got home, all my tmnj figures were packed up into a plastic bag and put away in the loft.

  at least they weren't thrown in a wheelie bin.. when i was about 13 there was a local needs (yes, a whole talk) on the evils of pokemon, complete with the statement that pokemon was short for pocket demons (not true) no more pokemon blue for me.. i remember explaining to my pe (gym) teacher, in front of my whole class, that i could not play for the football (soccer!

  Does God really have a personal name?

  the bible says that the personal name of god is jehovah/yahweh/jah etc.thing is,we don't know it's correct pronounciation (or the pronounciation of any hebrew name).the name jehovah as we know it today means "he causes to become".someone who causes something to become is just called "creator" or "maker".right?he gave that name to his self so that people or the angels could call him by a name.also,how was he called before the creation of the anything?how can some people claim to be his friends if they don't know his actual name?discuss.
