why does not the watchtower society publish simplified material for parents to use in teaching their children bible truths?.

-a question based upon frequent inquiries by readers.. jehovah god lays upon the parents themselves the responsibility of teaching their children.

Professional musicians seem to have a wider knowledge and appreciation of music than the average person. The pros even like stuff that is a different genre than what they play.

This thread reminds that there was a lot of crap during the 60's and 70's, like there is a lot, today. Where is the great stuff, today? I checked out a few from soontobe's list, and 4 of those groups all sounded the same. The 60-70's had the great ledzep, ccr (credence clearwater revival, for those who haven't heard of them), beatles and rolling stones to name just a few. Some stuff from those guys is crap, for sure. Where is the great stuff from today that matches w those guys' great stuff and other great stuff from the day?

I checked out civil twilight, mc rut, silversun pickups, the strokes and zulu winter. I played a few songs off each album. I would listen to more of the strokes and maybe, zulu winter. Thanks for the recommendations.

I'm always on the lookout for cool music. I'm partial to guitar. A while ago i downloaded a bunch of brazilian music. It was very precise and jazzlike. Quite good. I also have a few hundred of hindu origin. Surprisingly, they have some very upbeat and unique sounds, not necesarily all of the twangy hindu style. There was some hindu 'fusion'. There is arabic rai, which is like their folk music. Spanish guitar can be really nice. Shakira has an amazing variety of styles. I like how she mixes in a bit of the arabic on the precision of the beats. Reflects her own mixed race. African tribal drumming - another dimension. Native american - spiritual. I'm in the box and outside the box. I even have some recordings of the electromagnetic flux going on around the earth. Some of it is similar to some whale song. Wonder where whales got their songs. Also, some recordings of electro sun activity.

Are we all missing the true 'MARK' of the Wild Beast?

disclaimer: hubby & i have been watching a 5 dvd documentary on the 'secret's of the founding father's' we're not sure if we believe everything they talk about but here is some interesting things to think about..... revelation mentions that the 'mark' would either be on the forehead, [for everyone to see] or, on the right hand [if you make a fist, it is hidden] rev also says that no one can buy or sell without this mark.

the wtbt$ isn't too clear on what they believe that mark is, so.... what is one thing that we cannot buy or sell without?.

money!.

You could write or phone the un and ask them if they have something they can give you that you could use to show your support of them and their efforts. I doubt if they would recommend an actual tatoo. But maybe a little gold plaque or chrome idol would be nice. Then, you could rest, secure that you have your very own wild beast mark;)

The 70's music field saw the maturation of the 60's music. It was a kind of plateau. After that, it was disintegration and loss of direction in music.
