just put my 6 yr old to bed and we always have a chat about the day.
she tells me that she knows about another thing that happens to our bodies when we die in addition to buriel and cremation.. .
she tells me that they can do something really nasty to the body but its ok because they're dead so don't know about it.
You handled that really well. It sounds like, w your help, she is learning how to think for herself. That is a good thing, since she will likely run into that thought again.

Ps, i think the soul leaves at death. But, i don't care if other people believe it, or not. It makes no difference, imo. The problems come when people attach a bunch of other beliefs to that simple idea.

For accuracy, i would recommend the nrsv. For slightly more readability and also accurate, the niv.

I haven't watched it yet, but i plan to. I would like to say about the entanglement theory and where it leads. If particles have been coming into existence in entangled states since early in the universes formation, then there may be a lot of stuff, even galaxies that are entangled w each other. That means, they may be copies of each other, in flipped states.

ive asked a few jws and other believers why god never gave technology to his people but no one has been able to answer this.
why are his people copying the pagans.
their writing system without vowels means they couldnt even write his holy name down accurately.
The jewish calendar was moon based. It had to be rerigged and jigged to catch it up w the actual solar based movement of the earth. The babylon iand and mayan calenadars were much more accurate. The jews adopted some aspects of the pagan babylonian calendar.
'The Babylonians used a sexagesimal (base 60) system that was so functional that today, 4000 years later, we still use it every day -- whenever we tell time or refer to degrees of a circle.'
'The main fault of the Babylonian system was the absence of a zero. But the Ancient Maya's vigesimal (base 20) system had one, drawn as a shell. Other numerals were lines and dots, similar to what we use today when we tally.
Because of their mathematics, the Babylonians and Maya had elaborate and fairly accurate measurements of time and the calendar. Today, with the most advanced technology ever, we still have to make temporal adjustments -- almost 25 times a century to the calendar and a few seconds every few years to the atomic clock.'

a lion is a lion, a bear is a bear.
a fox is a fox, a deer is a deer.
that is what they are, and they behave as what they are.
Umm, was there a question about any of this?
