  Just a thought, would like input on it please

  i was cleaning the house and since our roommate works 3rd shift i have to do this quietly since he sleeps during the day.

  i can't have the radio blasting or the tv on really loud so i clean in silence, which tends to make the mind wonder.. here was my thought, might be dumb but here goes------------.

  Hi Jesika,

  The only problem here is that they are being persecuted not for the sake of Christ or Jehovah but for something that is shameful and criminal. I do not think the Society had this in mind when they mentioned the fact that they would be the subjects of persecution. They were more thinking along the lines of fighting for the right to preach, perhaps the right to meet, or even neutrality, but not protecting pedophiles.

  The funny thing is that they somehow will convince the rank and file through their own twisted reasoning that this too is persecution. I have already been told this by some family members.

  What's wrong with us in South Florida?

  i live in broward county, florida...unfortunate harborer of mohammed atta and other terrorists.. next door is (drum roll please)...palm beach county...home of the "we don't know how to vote" crowd.. also next door to (drum roll please)....miami/dade county....the "hanging chad" county.

  and i work next door to the country's largest petroleum tank farm (port everglades...which also houses florida power and light company.).

  and now, lo and behold, we are in the news again.

  Tampa was rated most economical city to live in the US among major cities. Also on the top 10 list of cities to do business, and real estate market is hot.

  Sure, coming from the Northwest there are some things I do miss, but Florida is home for me now. Where else can you say that you are looking forward to winter... right Ven...?

  I'm Back...and living in Las Vegas!

  well, i have been living in las vegas for a week and a half now.

  the drive from houston to vegas was hard.

  it took me two days to get here, but thankfully my dad came with me and he was able to help me drive.

  WT Nov 4 Study Article - Damage Control??

  just been given this watchtower and found the 2nd study article very interesting..... is this the societies damage control to panorama and dateline?.

  para 8 onwards says...... 8 satan tries to break our integrity through the sowing of doubts about what we have been taught.

  today, as in the first century, apostates and others seek to destroy the faith of the guideless ones.

  I am anxiously awaiting to read my Nov. WT. It sure sounds like they are doing some damage control.

  And modern day apostates keep on trying to sow seeds of doubt in order to subvert the faith of Christians.

  They don't mention that perhaps these seeds of doubt can be substantiated and have some merit. Nor do they allude to the fact that it is not their faith that we often question but their policies. And somehow they also forget to mention that many of the changes that have come to the Society have been the result of those who 'sow seeds of doubt' and 'subvert the faith'.

  well all the brothers that i work for out of town has black balled me cause im disassociated, but they are working a known child molester, he is repentant lol, hope they protect their kids.

  i got a phone call tonight and they told me that the dent shops in denver, tulsa, amarillo, dont want me.

  Many fine comments here...

  Kagloo, take it slow. Your are on the right path though. The many questions you have will be answered, often times though with new questions you never even conceived. Look it as a journey, as an awakening. Don't concern yourself with what Jehovah thinks at this time, if he is the loving God you believe he is then he should understand. And to quote others by all means do not discuss it with other witnesses, they just simply will not understand and worst just cause you much grief.

  In the end you have to arrive at what you believe. Many people on this board believe many things from the existence of Jehovah as Almighty God, to Jesus being God, to just their being a creator, others are agnostic, and others still not believing in God at all. I am not promoting one agenda over another, other than the fact everyone has a freedom to believe what he/she wishes. How is that for a foreign thought?

  At the risk of repeating myself and others here please read Ray Franz's book. For someone like yourself it will do you a world of good. Good luck and my e-mail is open.

  so i've been gone for a few months, get off my back already.

  actually, the us army is keeping me busy, but they've decided to promote me to the rank of sergeant first class with the corresponding $300.00 a month pay raise.

  i'll read and post from time to time, just wanted to let ya'll know i'm still alive.. blessings.

  Hi Kagloo and WELCOME!

  I can understand your feeling of disloyalty. Believe me many of us have been there. You are coming to a point where I believe many 'thinking' witnesses come to at one point in their lives. The difference is that you seem to want to do something about it.

  I once believed that change was possible within the organization. I felt that by being a better elder that change would come, that somehow I could make a difference. I was mistaken. It is corrupt from the top down. It is like MegaDude said that those running the Society do not have any integrity.

  You have come to a crossroads in your life. You will be faced with many changes. Take them slow and be patient. May I reccommend reading Ray Franz's book's 'Crisis of Conscience' and 'In Search of Christian Freedom' if you have not read them already. Especially 'In Search of...' will really open your eyes to the organizaiton and everything you might have thought to be 'Truth'.

  Good luck and please come back. There are many here who are willing to help you on your quest.
