So we have gone from “No temperature increase” to “The amount of temperature increase is of no consequence”?

Science News article: ‘Case closed’: 99.9% of scientists agree climate emergency caused by humans
by Disillusioned JW ina news article has the headline of " ‘case closed’: 99.9% of scientists agree climate emergency caused by humans"; see https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/oct/19/case-closed-999-of-scientists-agree-climate-emergency-caused-by-humans .
the article says in part the following.. 'the scientific consensus that humans are altering the climate has passed 99.9%, according to research that strengthens the case for global action at the cop26 summit in glasgow.. the degree of scientific certainty about the impact of greenhouse gases is now similar to the level of agreement on evolution and plate tectonics, the authors say, based on a survey of nearly 90,000 climate-related studies.
this means there is practically no doubt among experts that burning fossil fuels, such as oil, gas, coal, peat and trees, is heating the planet and causing more extreme weather.. a previous survey in 2013 showed 97% of studies published between 1991 and 2012 supported the idea that human activities are altering earth’s climate.. this has been updated and expanded by the study by cornell university that shows the tiny minority of sceptical voices has diminished to almost nothing as evidence mounts of the link between fossil-fuel burning and climate disruption.. the latest survey of peer-reviewed literature published from 2012 to november 2020 was conducted in two stages.

Why isn't this forum growing like reddit exjw??
by nowwhat? inadmittedly it 90% crap over there but still they are up to 80k in subscribers.
over here it's the same half dozen or so that posts something, including myself.
why is that?.

Smiddy,
You are correct.
Reddit would appeal more to those who grew up with social media.
For those of us who come from the era of steam trains, manual telephone exchanges and valve radios, it provides lesser appeal!

Censuring medicine and information; our new culture.
by was a new boy in'last night's flccc weekly update featured stories of families who fought in court to compel hospitals to give their loved ones ivermectin.
that it has come to this is tragic.
63 studies have now shown ivermectin’s efficacy in all stages of c19 disease.'.

Regarding chloroquine / hydroxychloroquine, it is very unlikely that those drugs are still in widespread usage in Africa. While for many years the drug of choice for fighting malaria, it long ago lost its effectiveness. Even by the early 1990s, the malaria parasite had developed an immunity to chloroquine, and I well remember the headlong rush there then was to develop alternatives (which luckily was successful).
There is currently quite a cocktail of anti-malarial medicines available in malaria-affected countries. However, neither chloroquine nor its more soluble version, hydroxychloroquine, feature amongst these!

Interestingly, data had to be suppressed, indicating that "Earth's temperature hasn't risen for the last 15 years." I wonder why.
Except that Daily Mail article which you quote above is dated September 2013 - i.e., it is nine years out of date.
A lot has happened since then.

Here's an Australian 10 year graph of temperatures in the lower troposphere (which would reflect world tendencies) to confirm what Anony Mous said. (Italics added)
This is not necessarily the case. Neither the surface (land or sea) nor the atmosphere warms - or cools - at an even rate. That is why springtime in the middle latitudes is often a very turbulent time.

Vidqun,
That illustration is not exactly a scale drawing of where the planets are in relation to the sun.
The sun is 1.39 million km in diameter, whereas the earth is 148 million km away from the sun. Going by that picture, though, you wouldn’t think so!

"Not everything is so very black and white" .... very true, which is why the full story cannot usually be gleaned from merely an eight-second soundbite. More often than not, further explanation is necessary, making the checking of facts a bloody good idea!
The orally administered (or live) polio vaccine does not pose a threat to those who receive it (as might have been supposed from some of the reports being circulated). Rather, in rare cases, it has led to infection amongst the unvaccinated.
https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02501-3
It is only an issue in populations where the level of immunisation is either low or non-existent.
In other words, the battle against polio is a two-step process. Step One is the eradication of the "wild" polio virus. Step Two involves the continuation of the vaccination process to cover the entire population - so that mutated strains of the attenuated virus used in the oral vaccine don't get a hold.
(During the fight against any killer disease, arguably the greatest obstacle of the lot is complacency: i.e., getting the beast down on the floor with one's foot on its neck, then deciding "She'll be right, Mate", letting the thing go, and thus having to start all over again).

All I know is that the last polio death in this country occurred just before the widespread introduction of the Sabin vaccine, during the (southern) autumn of 1962.
Yeah - lethal stuff, these polio vaccines!

What I was talking about was a “blanket” or total ban on COVID-19 vaccines i.e. no exceptions whatsoever. What you are taliking about is a “partial” ban. If you do not know the difference, between “blanket ban” and “partial ban”, do yourself and everybody else here a favour and refrain from further posting until your grasp of the English language has improved!

No mate.
“Blanket ban” means banning the whole bloody lot - children, adults, and everybody else in between.
