this is probably going to unnerve some on here or make them uncomfortable.we always hear, why didn't the elders call the cops first instead of the wt society (lawyers/attorneys).

in cases of child molestation or other incidents.this video is why and if you're smart you'll follow their example.i'm not taking the wtbts side on this just so you know in advance because i do not agree with the two witness rule at all.but be that as it may,this is by far the best lawyer/attorney and law professor i've ever heard on the subject of why you should never talk to the police and always let an investigation be made through counsel.this is why in the usa you have the right to remain silent when talking to police/authorities but even more important what the fifth amendment really entails and why it would behoove us all to understand what can happen even if you are totally innocent and have nothing to hide but how things can go horribly wrong.if i ever have to go to court for anything i can only hope that i got a lawyer as competent as this one the vid is approx 46 minutes long but well worth investing that time because if you had to talk to a lawyer it would cost you a lot to receive what this professor covers in this.the majority is from the law professor and the remaining minutes are of a former police captain/investigator with his insights and opinions.and just to be clear, i'm not suggesting that the elders not call the police because they should in cases of child molestation but rather they better get legal advice to protect themselves so that they don't have to answer for the wtbts decisions.look how many former (ex) elders we have on sites like this one and others and i'm so happy they got free of the wt but also they didn't get in trouble by accidentally saying/doing the wrong thing.all of us can benefit by following this advice in the video and i hope you enjoy it and to know what your rights arehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-7o9xyp7ee.

you should never talk to the police and always let an investigation be made through counsel.

This is the case with any legal contact with police. There are a few very important things [at least in the United States] that one should be ready to say in any legal interaction with police. These were courtesy of a woman defense attorney whom I dated for some time.

1. I have nothing to say without legal counsel present. Then SHUT UP! They cannot hold un-spoken words against you.

2. If they persist in questioning you then ask, "Am I under arrest?" If the answer is "No" then leave.

3. If they say you are under arrest then refer back to number 1

I have successfully employed these statements more than once.

When I got baptized at the International Assembly in Vancouver Canada in 1974 when I was 17, there was a rumor flying around that Glen was there and was going to be baptized.

Same exact rumor as floated around in Vancouver B.C. in 1969 too..

and yes, i clicked what was requested.

each time i login i get one or two more capcha challenges added to the number.. isn't there a better way to login?.

And I think I may have the record now....Thirty-one CAPCHA screens. And NO I did NOT make mistakes in the street signs, store fronts, cars, mountains, rivers multiple times for each etc.!

Even banking sites are not this difficult to log into.

Why not just enter a user name and password?

New Instructions?

i may have missed it, but i just heard from a local elder that there are "new" instructions for how the two one day assembly's are to be conducted and handled......fifty-nine pages worth.

he said they will now all be put on the same as the regional conventions.

did i miss that letter/orders from "mother"?

Have to attend for personal reasons...for now.

This supposedly just came out in the last few days. all sorts of meetings going on at the hall. Next CA is in four weeks.

Todays WT, study with worldy kids if you can

according to today's wt, jws are now encouraged to start bible studys with worldy kids even if their parents dont want to join in.

the wt suggests that the study should take place with the parent present or with another mature jw present.. the wt suggests that studying with the kid may make the parent eventually want a study too.. ...

in what situation would any worldly parent allow some stranger from a werid cult to come jnto their house and convert their children?

That was just part of this WT.

Another topic was the unique trial of someones mate dying, FedUp actually got to comment on this one. The comment was that the death of a mate was "A unique trial to JW's because many older ones spent decades believing it when they were told they would never have children who would either go to school or graduate from high school, let alone that they would get old and die before Armageddon. And now they have grandchildren and they find themselves alone after their husband or wife have grown old and died, like generations of people before them."

Despite that comment FedUp got called on a second time in the review. Question was how we could offer comfort to others. FedUp commented, "By following the brothers examples when they offer congregation prayers and mention those who are facing trials in our prayers. It is easy and takes no effort or time, and after saying our prayer we can just wait on Jehovah and trust that he will somehow comfort them."

Jw mummies boys

i've had the misfortune to encounter quite a few mummies boys in the cult.

men aged 20-40 who although in men's bodies think,act and behave like children.

their mother's had them tied to the apron strings tightly.

Have you met jw mummies boys? Is it a common phenomenon in the cult? What do you think causes this?

Oh hell yes! I knew of one that could not even have morning breakfast or noon meal with his wife. He had to go to mommies for breakfast and dinner. Supper was the only meal he ate with his wife. He could not make a decision, even simple ones without consulting mommy and daddy first.

I believe the WT reference to "Mother" all the time is a factor. And the constant berating of using ones normal individual abilities without first consulting with "Mother's" chosen leaders is another. JW men are for the most part emasculated wimps!

Yeah, you're right, the guy with the girly-man voice actually says "...with Jehovah's erection" strange use of the word.

Well after listening several times with volume up I believe you are correct..he did say erection. But in all fairness he probably had erections on his mind.
