People grieve when a friend or relative dies. Why would one have to say something different for a JW than for any other human? Express sympathy, share a memory, spend some time listening, be empathetic. This is not the time to "get even", no matter how much you may wish to.

How Would You Console A Witness Who Has Lost A Loved One?
by minimus inlet’s say that you haven’t been around a kingdom hall in years and everyone knows you are not a “true believer “ anymore.
yet a tragedy strikes and you want to give a real heartfelt expression of your feelings— what would you say?
would you acknowledge the resurrection hope that the witnesses entertain or say something very different?.

Why I lost my religion
by Sour Grapes ini was a jw for over 50 years and recently just stopped cold turkey going to the meetings.
years of sitting at the meetings with the boredom, the gloom and doom, repetition of doctrine, the gloom and doom, the fake love, the gloom and doom, the end being so close, do more - do more, just got to be too much for me to stomach.
i stopped praying to god and no longer thank god for the food before i eat.

...when the JW's go to a meeting at the Kingdumb Hell they check their brains in at the door...
Reminds me of a story.
A woman wanted to prepare a totally different kind of meal so she asked the local butcher for suggestions. As he was from Papua New Guinea he suggested human brains. He said he had a supply and the cost would be $10.00 per pound for JW brains...$$19.75 per pound for JW elder brains...And $144,000.00 per pound for governing body brains. The woman asked why such an incredibly high cost for JW governing body brains. The butcher replied, "Do you know how hard it is to find JW governing body brains?"
Okay, I know a pretty distasteful story, but.....

it's very nice that they managed to host a convention for the russian brothers and sisters, and that they all got fed.

Does this even make sense???
It does if you remember that two slave laborers at Warwick compound were asked to stay on and provide free labor for an extra week and ran out of money, but lo and behold when they got to the airport their flight was miraculously over-booked and they volunteered to stay for a later flight and got just enough cash from the airline. But meanwhile some poor schmuck's wife got killed because he had a flat tire on his vehicle and she was hit by another vehicle while he was changing it.
Just shows what is most important to the JW leadership...CASH over a life!

If he would have brought the end in 1975, close to 800,000 million people would not have been born who now have to die.
Aw...but in true WT "logic" that means that there would have been 800,000 million people that would have never had the oh-so-loving opportunity of joining the WT and avoid being slaughtered simply for being born...

interview publishers, selected in advance, who had outstanding experiences
Typically here it is an "experience" along these lines: "I noticed a young mother with thirteen children having a hard time changing the youngest ones diaper in a 60 MPH wind while keeping an eye on the other twelve, and holding the leash for seven family dogs who were all trying to run in different directions. So I kindly engaged her in a long winded discussion about the Awake magazine's newest article on the mating habits of of the Tse Tse fly, and how in the Paradise her kids could pet pandas and cobras. She said she was too busy to talk so I gave her Jay Double U dot Org calling card and told her how to use her phone to look up more things for her kids. I don't know if she did or not, but I look forward to sometime seeing her at home and finding out."
clap...clap...clap...clap....
Thank you sister busybody for your encouraging experience! You never know where you will find a
interested personvictim to talk to. -

Signing Away Your Hard Earned Cash
by Disassociated Lady 2 inreading the meeting workbook study for this week to see what my family will be reading at their meeting, once again they are asking for members for generous gifts not only from money they earn but also part of any investments they may have and making future arrangements for them to inherit after death through their wills.
take a look at the lower part of the page on this link, its awful!
https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20151115/donations-worldwide-work/.

Frankly, I'm surprised they included this one:
CONDITIONAL DONATION ARRANGEMENT
Donations of cash with the condition that it can be returned if needed by the donor.Oh, but just wait, see how damned near impossible it is to get any of it back when it is needed! Remember, money only flows ONE WAY in the WTB&T$...and that isn't from them to those in need!

Brother Spangenberg had to leave CO work as his wife was sick ,,went to low paying menial job.
Not sure if it is the same Spangenberg, but in the Roswell, NM (USA) area there was an older guy with that name that had all sorts of "I remember..." stories. Seems his wife was a bit of a hypochondriac, and he finally had enough and died. Or maybe he got fed up with being ignored by all the young bucks running the show, and their obvious lack of love and checked out.

My Ex CO in Texas was 25 years old.
by Iamallcool inhe became co when he was 23. i was wondering is he the youngest co ever?
his name is jonathan smith.
he is from south dakota.

Jonathan Smith was in South Dakota, though that was not his home state. Actually not to bad a young fellow. Not afraid of the old-timers who liked to "lord it over the flock" as I remember. I knew him in the early nineties. He was single at the time. Some years later I spoke with him briefly on the phone. He was in Tennessee at that time. Had also married by then. No idea where he is now.
It seems the better C.O.'s usually drop from sight. Definitely in the case of circuit overseers the cream does not raise to the top.

More wheedling for money?
Good grief, it's getting tiresome.
Wish I could give 100 thumbs up votes for that comment. I may have to be PIMO for the time, but I do everything I can whenever these begging articles come up to make it plain what I think of their money grubbing.

(John 13:35) 35 By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves. . .
The blatant lack of meaningful love between "brothers" and "sisters". As long as you look like them, talk like them, eat like them, bathe like them, walk like them, drive like them (well we all get the point) they "love" you...but the second you are not a mirror image clone of what they want you to be the love just psst disappears!
If they are not disciples of Jesus then there is no way they can have the truth according to their own Bible. (John 14:6) 6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. . .
