  What do you do when your Operating System is corrupted?

  i was just thinking of an illustration that may apply.. what do we do if our computer operating system is corrupted?

  perhaps through a virus, or because of outdated or corrupted technology?.

  do we hang on to that computer because of sentimental reasons?

  BUT, if we discover that the Operating System at the very core of our device is faulty, has a virus or is corrupted, we rid ourselves of that machine.

  Or we could wipe the HDD and reinstall a clean OS. That would seem to be the better choice IMHO.

  Where the Scriptures teach that an individual, an event, or an object is typical of something else, we accept it as such. Otherwise, we ought to be reluctant to assign an antitypical application to a certain person or account if there is no specific Scriptural basis for doing so.

  And yet they CONtinue to do just that!

  2005 Big Announcement (Disappointment)

  i remember around 2005, there was an announcement made from the platform that in a few weeks time we would have to remain at the end of the sunday meeting for a big announcement, directly from the society.. i remember all the murmuring, people thought maybe this was going to be related to armageddon.

  everyone was excited, people were speculating.

  only the po in each congregation had any idea what was going on, and they were frequently pestered for information, but sworn to secrecy, which only hyped things up even more.. then the meeting came, anticipation was in the air, the announcement started, you could hear a pin drop.

  Yes, I remember that well. I was gone that Sunday, building what turned into a profitable business. I was told in no uncertain terms that I could NOT have the new book, as it was released to those appreciative enough to be in attendance that morning. I had to wait. I am still "waiting". HAHAHAHA

  You Just Can't Make This S--t Up!

  i know this is kind of trivial but i don’t want to partake in something that might have connections with something that jehovah disapproves of.

  i checked the watchtower library and i didn’t find anything on gingerbread man cookies.. .

  good lord...how incredibly stupid and helpless are jdubs getting?

  I just checked it out and there is THREE pages of back and forth discussion about whether it is permitted for a JDub to eat a gingerbread man. Don't those bone-heads have something better to do...like maybe door knocking, or cart sitting or something?

  Good lord...how incredibly stupid and helpless are JDubs getting? I know...I know. I was there once too. Never able to use the God given ability to reason for myself! I think someone should tell the nit-wit that posed that issue on goofy jay double you talk that it is WRONG! After all it is a cookie made in the shape, well kind of, of a man. That is selfish CREATURE WORSHIP! And of course it is common for them to be made at the holiday time of year. So that is a governing body con-damned celebrating of the holiday! And then EATING it? Why that imitates cannibalism. Also con-damned! And we all KNOW that they never even attempted to drain any "blood" from the gingerbread man before devouring it!

  i wonder how fast I would be banned/DF'd from that website for giving the above "advice" to the poor hapless moron who asked?

  Why do Jehovah`s Witnesses believe everything will be Hunky Dory after Armageddon ? I have news for them.

  they seem to think that all they will do is enjoy a carefree life with little or no concerns problems or worries whereas nothing could be further from the truth... according to the bible.. without trying to speculate on these concerns or problems during this one thousand year reign of christ jesus ,lets hear what the bible has to say about the end of his thousand year reign.. rev.20:7-10 satan is to be let out of his prison {as if he hasn`t done enough damage in 6000 years of roaming about in the earth at the same time fraternizing with jesus and jehovah in heaven} i digress.. and the reason he is let out of prison ,lo and behold ,is to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth gog and magog to gather them together for the war.

  { here we go again ,armageddon didn`t solve anything we have to go through another one.

  } 1000 years later.. now get this it`s not just some isolated little skirmish with a few hundred or even a few thousand dissenters ,as the bible states they number the sands of the seashore and they advanced over the breadth of the earth and encircled the camp {not a nation but a camp} of the holy ones.and the beloved city.. with that description it would seem the holy ones are in the minority and the opposes apparently were spread over all the earth.. so that description of the bible to me about jc 1000 rule does not appear to be one of living in a paradise , that is not on the agenda until after jesus christ 1000 year reign and only if you are lucky enough to survive another test/war of your loyalty after all you have gone through previously.. i wonder if this realization is one of the reasons why so many now are claiming to be of the anointed because as one of the other sheep you have to pass another test after the 1000 years of christ jesus rule whereas of one of the anointed on death now you go straight to heaven ..

  that is not on the Agenda until AFTER Jesus Christ 1000 year reign and only if you are lucky enough to survive another test/war of your loyalty after all you have gone through previously.

  And who is to say that in another 1,000 years there won't be a third test, and a fourth in another 1,000 years and a fifth after that, and ... well we get the idea..

  Should private citizens be allowed to video record law enforcement?

  i saw an article in the news yesterday that laws are going to be passed subjecting the police to being recorded by anyone while performing their duty or enforcing the law and encourages citizens to sue if they interfere.

  some law enforcement agents become angry and confiscate recording devices from people recording them while making an arrest, etc.. it does seem that the work that the police and other government agents do is public and not private or confidential so there should be nothing to hide from the cameras.

  on the other hand, how can one distinguish being shot by a camera or by a weapon until one is hit?.

  Are you serious? You really think someone - especially police officers who go through years of training - can't tell the difference between a cell phone and a fire arm?

  Perhaps you may repair a brothers roof and in exchange he will landscape your yard.

  More like repair his roof, and in exchange he demands you stucco the walls too.

  Grave diggers! They will have 7,500,000,000 of people's bones to get rig of after the birds get done with them.

  Ahh...but think of the wonderful bone china that could be made. And think of the tingles down their legs they will get knowing they are eating their meals served off the bones of their DF'd family members.
