  KH Hall doors to remain locked during meetings?

  my mother in law told us this morning that they read a letter in her cong last night.

  from now on kh doors will be locked after 15 min of meeting start.

  only the fire exit (one way door) will remain unlocked.

  If they want to lock the doors of KH during meetings for security reasons, then what the heck are those legions of angels doing ?

  The governing body seem to be upping the paranoia levels of its victims.

  I believe that this is more true, than not. Remember the "Obey instructions even if they do not seem practical" B.S.? This is just grooming the sheep to get them ready for the slaughter. In packing plants the animals going to their deaths know what is about to happen so they are forced down the alley way with no way to turn back until the stun-bolt kills them.

  If you’re not there on time and they lock the doors, then you’re dead meat just like in the days of Noah.

  I got that line from an eldurr. Because of a still-in very elderly parent who want to be at the KH for meetings I take that parent to the meetings. Because of their situation we are always late. The elder said it is up to me to make my elderly parent go faster and be on time because, "When God shut the door of t he ark no one could get in, and HE will eventually shut the door of the KH right on time."   this is my 192nd post, so i thought it'd be fitting to ask a somewhat banal question which i've occasionally pondered over the years.

  does anyone know what's behind the wt's penchant for 192-page books?

  is there some kind of logistical reason for this?

  Years ago I heard it had to do with the way they were printed and bound also. In multiples of 32 (the mags) It was a bundle of six 32 page bundles. So as DOYKL mentioned it had to do with the way they were bound.

  for shits and grins, i looked at an online sunday meeting a few days ago on youtube.

  i was in disbelieve on just how silly everything looks with the watchtower reader reading from his little iphone and the watchtower conductor holding up his iphone to ask the questions.

  then the conductor asked the reader to read a bible verse and of course, he reads from his little phone.

  Do they still say "Let's turn in our Bibles to....?

  Not where I still have to go for a still in very elderly parent. It is, "Let's open our tablets to..." Of course I refuse to use electronic gadgets, and I refuse to use the Bible itself either anymore as long as the pompous windbag on the platform cannot be bothered to use one!

  Did it once. Having a written family history to compare their results to showed that my parents had three more children than the one sibling I grew up with, all younger than I. Now how can that be? maybe an "invisible" family. That would fit the JW teachings of Christ's presence I guess.

  Never did, and never will do the DNA thing. But my best friends Scandinavian bred father did and it came back that he was 80% Asian and 20% black African. One of the most round eyed, pale skinned, blue-eyed, blonde haired Asian Negros I have ever seen.
