at our clam meeting this past week there was a rather lengthy announcement asking for the donation of travel trailers.
needed to be at least 22 feet long and not older than a 2005 model year.
lots of other details were in the announcement about what was desired related condition of the trailer, etc.
I heard, second hand, about the begging for travel trailers too. The list of requirements they have in order to consider them worthy of stealing accepting from the members sounds an awful lot like they would appreciate the "widows mite".

If we had a minimum wage of $150/hr, then we would all be a wealthy as lawyers, right?
LOL, except the lawyers would then be charging hourly fees ten times higher than they are now, so we would have to increase the minimum wage to $1,500.00 per hour to keep up.

I am not in favor of it. Minimum wage should be at least $150.00 per hour. After all THAT would be ten times better, wouldn't it?

As long as the government has OPM to throw around, sure. Right now people can make more money sitting home on their vertical crack collecting government hand-outs than working. Like DoC said, "Gotta buys those votes."
When government starts throwing around numbers they should have to write the numbers out with numerals, not letters. People just might wake up to the size of "free" money government is flapping their gums about.
Two trillion does not look like as much as $2,000,000,000,000.00, especially to some poor schmuck making only $7.25 per hour.

Exactly. I can remember what I READ more accurately and longer than what I watch. It reminds me of the late, great news commentator Paul Harvey who contrasted radio and TV by saying, "We do not remember what Confucius LOOKED like, but rather what he SAID." It is the same principle with reading compared to watching.
