puctuality..
by zachias ina small incident happened to me today that has triggered me to say this.. how many of you have seen that jw are fairly hopeless and being anywhere on time.. an obvious one is the families that never miss a meeting and never miss arriving late with resultant fuss.
.
but in day to day things as well.arriving late for a paid job.. leaving early, ditto.. not turning up for a bbq without even a phone call.. being in all things disorganized.. and, how many of you have seen the above become the norm in people once they become jw that were not that way before....

This for sure.
Many years ago my father, an elder at the time, told me how in the area he lived a family with six kids would always show up fifteen minutes late to the Sunday morning meeting. They complained about how difficult it was to get up and ready and be on time at 9:30 A.M.
So out of concern for them the elders decided to move the meeting time to 10:00 A.M. And that family was very consistent in showing up at 10:15 A.M.

The Watchtower—Study Edition | February 2022 Trust in Jehovah ...We really meant ''the Governing Body''
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | february 2022. study article 6. do you trust in jehovah’s way of doing things?.
15 as the end of this system of things draws near, we need to trust in jehovah’s way of doing things as never before.
during the great tribulation, we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical.

I wonder how many of the GB really believe their pronouncements come from Jehovah.
Perhaps most of them. With the exception of Tight Pants. I kind of think he probably thinks HE is the one speaking in God's ear instead of the other way around.

The answer might be indicated by how you view theocratic direction now. If you trust the direction we receive today and readily obey, you will likely do the same during the great tribulation.
Anyone can pull a scripture out of their hat to "prove" their argument. My reply to the above statement would be to use the WT own words, "The governing body is neither inspired or infallible." And that they are "imperfect men." Then refer to (Luke 6:39) . . .Then he also told them an illustration: “A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Both will fall into a pit, will they not?
If the governing body is NOT inspired they are in effect "blind". I do not see any benefit to following a blind guide. -

Recent Annual Meeting - Asking for Clarification
by truth_b_known inwould someone in the know please clarify for me some alleged comments given from the governing body at the recent/yet to be streamed for the rank and file annual meeting?.
it is my understanding that samuel herd basically tells the rank and file that old light is new light and the new light of july, 2013 is now old light.
to be specific, herd states that the official stance on whether or not the annointed remaining on earth, to include the governing body, will all be in heaven prior to armageddon.. at this same annual meeting tony morris iii tells those in attendance that stephen letts' statement that "we're living in the final part of the last days, undoubtedly the final part of the final part of the last days!

Now I am wondering if it will be edited.
It most surely will. IMO it was an intentional slip. Then when edited out and it will raise the question to anyone who has mentioned it in passing to another JDub, "Where did YOU hear what you said you heard?" And there you are, on their radar. Best to keep quiet until after the "official" video, then if it isn't edited something can be said. I believe the governing body would be just that underhanded.

2020’s are already a Train Wreck for JW ORG
by Reservations inas the title says, we are nearly at the end of the 2nd year of the 2020’s, and already jw org is not only a car crash, but an absolute train wreck.. i’ve watched the annual meeting 2021 already, and it seems the gb are in fighting, morris openly disagreeing with lett, that is massive, and it’s something that has largely not been commented on by this community.
covid-19 is not going anywhere, any trial meetings will surely be shut down, now omicron is doing the rounds.. it looks highly likely we will see a second negative growth year.
“young ones” are waking up by the masses.

Good grief! When THEY die, not when THE die. And WTH was I thinking when I typed "I think THEIR are", instead of THERE are?

I noticed also the apparent glee on his face and in his voice with which Herd mentioned when the die they will go to heaven and, "FIGHT." Couple that with the joy that ol' Tight Pants displays when he talks about killing people at Armageddon and I think their are some pretty mentally messed up people at the top. Makes me wonder what kind of impractical "directions" they will order the R&F to obey before they flit off to wherever they are actually headed.

Demons. Afraid or not?
by punkofnice inwhen i was a jobot i had the fear of demons rammed down my throat.. now i am without any faith, i don't have that fear because it seems irrational.
a fairy tale from the minds of some weirdo.. now i don't have to worry about buying stuff 2nd hand.. it always amused me how some jobots would pooh pooh charity (goodwill to my american cousins), shops or 2nd hand shops in case demons inhabited a jumper or a chest of drawers.
yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.

Yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.
A couple decades ago a family I knew claimed that their used car was possessed. They said that every time they tried to go to a meeting or in field circus that the battery would be dead. They even had the eldurrs come pray over it in some kind of JW exorcism. That didn't work, but my suggestion to clean and tighten the battery connections did.

Watchtower Study on 5th December.
by Lost in the fog inthe wt study for this week is all about disfellowshipping.
in an early paragraph it said "think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!".
however when you think about it, when this happened according to the wt teaching, jehovah still engaged with satan in the heavens (book of job) and had conversations with him about what was going on in the earth.. so why do the wt org practice shunning when jehovah god obviously didn't?.

How do these 3 elders determine what would be offensive to the congregation?
The three elders opinions are the first determination off what is offensive to the congregation. After that if the poor soul who is reinstated and gets some "privilege" returned causes some gossiping busy body to get their undies in a wad that "privilege" will be yanked PDQ. At least that was my experience thirty years ago. Just another of many reasons for getting FedUp.

Oregon to go permanent on face masks. More will flood out of the communist state.
by mickbobcat inthe liberal idiots and useful fools who follow are going and going and going.
now they are trying to make masks permanent.
at some point people are going to revolt.

I have noticed that even prior to Covid-19 a number of people in some Asian countries wore masks in public.
I noticed that too. I also noted it was due to extremely filthy air they were force to breath. Had ZERO to do with preventing infectious disease. But what ever gets one through the night I guess.
And if facts that don't fit a persons agenda make one want to run away with their fingers in their ears then as they say in my area, "Don't let your coat-tails drag."
I no longer will "play nice" with leftists.
